Homestar Runner is bringing people together. Today I had a job interview, ummm I mean Dr. Appointment, at ASU and I had to show some sample websites. So I showed the website that I did back in school. Well on this website, I list some favorite links and of course one of them is HomestarRunner.com. So as I'm navigating the site, one of the interviewers goes, "Homestar Runner!! Alright!" It was quite humorous. The other two people were confused and the one interviewer promised to show them Homester later. So if nothing else, I'll be remembered as the cool candidate.

In less good news, my Great Aunt Carolyn passed away yesterday. She had been sick and in the hospital for awhile, but it is still hard. Apparently she had an enlarged heart and her heart just started deteriorating rapidly at the end. By the time she passed, both valves in her heart were pretty much gone. I don't mean to be graphic, but at the end when she ate her food would go into her lungs because her heart didn't have the strength to get it to her stomach. My Dad was called to give her a blessing but by the time he had arrived she was already gone.

I love my Aunt Carolyn dearly. She was always so loving and caring about us. She made sure that no matter what, she went through the temple with me for the first time. She told my Mom she wouldn't miss it for the world. Same goes for the wedding. I am happy for her that she is no longer suffering. She also gets to be with my Grandma Great and I can't think of a better person to be there to greet me. What a happy day for them both indeed.

It is tough on those days when you must come to grips with your own mortality. I think I am especially sensitive to it having just started my wonderful life with Ryan. However I know that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me dearly and would never want me to be alone. Because of that, I will have the love of my life and my whole family with me for eternity and I can't think of anything better.
