Impermanence
In just under a month's time, I've seen two places central to my life story be destroyed: the house I grew up in in Covina - which was my family's home for 32 years - has been gutted and altered beyond recognition, and the commercial building in Eureka where I started my retail business in 1999 razed completely to the ground.
Both have been stark reminders of the impermanence of material things, and the impermanence of my own existence, as well.
I plan to write more at length about each of these experiences in the days to come.
