hello!
It's been an eventful month of August! To summarize:
1. I'm in Israel now (for school, until June)
2. My dad is married to his new wife Lori
3. My boyfriend and brother are in Iraq
I'm liking 2/3 of those things, so a majority's not bad, right? :)
Israel is pretty cool. I'm in Jerusalem, in Bayit VaGan, which is relatively a pretty religious neighborhood. The American program is small, there are a LOT more Israelis and Ethiopians here than Americans. Being an Ethiopian in Israel looks like it pretty much blows, to put it nicely. Anyway, being here is definitely interesting although I'm way homesick now that I know that I won't be going home for a while... I'm either staying here til June or flying home in March temporarily for Passover and the boys' homecoming. I can't believe I'm not gonna see my city for all this time.
Anyway I don't have much more time on the computer, somebody's waiting. But, hey! How are you?
