Fan Girl Geek Out Dead Ahead
I'm a big fan of Alan Ball's True Blood (enjoy it more, in fact, than the Charlaine Harris Southern Vampire novels it's based on) and recently got a chance to beta some TB fan fic. For those who don't know, a beta is a combination editor, proofreader and critic, and I just love doing it.
And here's where the geek out explodes all over the blog. The whole beta thing got me so excited that I actually wrote my own very, very tiny piece of fan fic. It was inspired by the pillow talk scene between my two favorite season 3 characters, Tara and Franklin. I'm going to link my little fic way down at the bottom of the blog (because I'm shameless, but not that shameless) and just to make sure the background is in place I'm first linking an interview between Rutina Wesley (Tara) and James Frain (Franklin) discussing their characters, and the very pillow talk scene itself. Don't say you weren't warned.
