You're sweet Yazface. Art is so subjective though, the saying is something like, "one man's trash is another man's treasure"? I think the worst part about photography is trying to pick the picture that the majority will like, because it's one big guessing game in the end.

the reason I don't like that one is because of the background (it was randomly black, too high of a shutter speed) but the reason I like that one is because of the smoke in his face (and that he's a babe so) so I'm so confused about it aha.

Yeah, you're right. There's a difference between appreciation and enjoyment of art. I personally hate Handel, for example, but can't deny that he's obviously an amazing composer.

Thank you! I was on the fence with that one, I like it and I dislike it, but I found photographing smoke is INCREDIBLY hard. That had been my entire goal, and that was the only one you could even see the smoke. I probably need to read up on how to do it because there's probably a trick I missed.

Oh and re: smoking guy, here's one I didn't post that's an example of how weird smoke is to photograph -- the smoke made his face out of focus :(
