Here's a transcript for
tea_42 of the Luke and Sylar scenes in 3.15.
There's one line I just couldn't figure out, though, so if you guys could help me, that'd be great. It's Luke's line about "meth at school" somewhere around 26:20. Let me know if you know what he's saying.
Edit: Thanks to
flwrpwr_vampyre (thank you!) we now know that Luke is saying "And sell my ritalin to meth mouths at school".
I haven't proofread it, sorry if there are any mistakes. *waves*

3.15 ”Trust and Blood”
Scene 1 (10:16-12:33)
The street’s filled with police cars and ambulances. A police car drives off, its siren fading, and a police officer is questioning one of the neighbours. Mary and Luke Campbell step out of their parked car and walk up the curb to their house. Luke has a bruised eye and is carrying a bag of groceries. He keeps looking back down the street.
Mary: (disdainfully) Taxidermy. Never really liked that old man.
Mary: (to Luke) That’s right! Take a good look, ‘cause that’s your future if you keep getting into fights at school. Just hoping night in juvie taught you something.
Luke: (apathetic, looking anywhere but at her) Yep, food’s great.
Mary: Don’t push it, Luke. Not after yesterday. Just tell me why! Why did you have to hit that kid?
They walk up to the front door. Luke shrugs. Mary imitates the motion.
Mary: What’s that mean? What the hell’s wrong with you? (sadly) A shrug. Is that your answer for everything?
Luke: (emotionless) He called you a whore.
Mary: Get inside. (jingles keys and opens door)
Inside all the curtains are pulled closed and the noise of a TV can be heard. Mary leaves her purse and keys on a table. Luke pushes the door shut with his foot, still holding the groceries.
Mary: (going to the living room) Can’t believe I left that on.
There’s a man sitting in front of the TV, apparently watching a news report about the crashed airplane from 3.14. Past him there’s an open door to an office.
Mary: (whispering to Luke) Call the police!
Mary silently sneaks up behind the man, looking for and finding a poker from the fireplace to use as a weapon. Luke follows not so silently, bag crunching as he puts it down. She grabs the poker and spins to hit the intruder. Luke raises his right hand towards her.
Agent Daniel Simmons is the man in the chair. His mouth is duct taped shut and his hands are nailed to chair by kitchen knives. His left hand is covered in a bloody rag.
Agent Simmons: (muffled) No! (tries to get them to look towards the office)
Mary freezes in horror. Luke straightens and looks past her, clearly afraid and shocked. Sylar steps out from the office, heavy boots clomping, holding a couple of letters in one hand and the remote in the other. He looks at the TV instead of them and calmly turns it off, sighing, before he throws the remote away. Mary spins around, poker raised, but stills as she looks at him.
Sylar: You’re either Mary Campbell or current occupant. (smiling and holding the letters up)
Mary tries to hit him. Sylar TKs the poker out of her hands with his left hand, and uses his right hand to TK both Mary and Luke into chairs. Luke is sitting low in the chair, legs wide spread and kicking, fighting against the force on his upper body. He’s staring at Sylar. Agent Simmons is looking hatefully at Sylar.
Sylar stalks towards Agent Simmons while locking eyes with Mary.
Sylar: We’ve been waiting for you.
Mary: Who are you?! What are you doing here?
Sylar: (ripping the duct tape off) Special Agent Simmons says hello.
Mary groans and looks away as Agent Simmons coughs and spits blood. Luke seems transfixed in horror, unable to look away. He’s gasping, close to hyperventilating.
Sylar: (to Mary) His people trained him very well. He hardly flinched at all when he lost a finger or two. Trouble is he has information that I need, so you (looking from Luke to Mary) are gonna help me loosen his tongue.
Agent Simmons recovers and glares up at Sylar, unafraid. Mary gapes and looks at Luke, eyes wide with fear, who’s breathing heavily and trying to figure out what’s holding him down.
Agent Simmons: (defiantly) You freak! You gonna torture me in front of them?
Sylar: (leaning down to look him straight in the eyes, speaking softly) No. I’m gonna torture them (looking at Mary) in front of you.
Mary moans and struggles. Luke just stares as Sylar gives her a small smile.
Scene 2 (18:45-21:17)
Agent Simmons has blacked out, his head is lolling and he groans. A coffee mug decorated with painted fruit, flowers and leaves is held in front of him.
Sylar: (shakes the mug) Agent Simmons…
He grins at Mary as the agent makes no response, just groans.
Sylar: He seems fatigued.
Mary: (shaking) Uh-huh.
Sylar: (pushing the knife in Agent Simmons right hand down repeatedly) You really. Need. To. Pay. Attention!
The agent groans and Mary turns her head, whimpering. Sylar straightens and steps away chuckling, looking at her as if to share the joke.
Agent Simmons: Your father’s in custody, you sick piece of crap.
The air shimmers and Sylar turns back to him, pulling a chair with him. He places it in front of the agent.
Sylar: Another lie! Well, it’s time to get started. (pointing his index finger at Luke) Where to begin?
Luke stops breathing for a moment and stares at him. Mary’s looking from her son to Sylar, scared as he turns, finger moving up and down, and points it at her.
Sylar: (decisively) Mommy. (sitting down on the chair)
Mary: Why are you doing this? What did we ever do to you?
Sylar: (sipping his tea) Nothing. Wrong place, wrong time. I could’ve been a… flood or tornado. There’s really no difference actually. (raising his voice) How about you, Luke? Any thoughts?
Luke says nothing.
Sylar: Oh, I sense some dysfunction in the Campbell household. (glancing at Mary)
Mary: You bastard! You better leave him alon-
Sylar TKs her mouth shut.
Sylar: (reaching his hand out towards her throat) But I understand. Single mom, troubled teenage son and judging from that pathetic alimony check I found, I’d say dad took off quite some time ago.
Mary struggles to breathe.
Luke: (warily) What are you doing to her?
Mary stares at him.
Sylar: What you wish you could have done years ago.
Luke: N-no. No! Stop. Sh-
Sylar: You’re lying.
Luke is silent.
Sylar: (to Agent Simmons) Agent Simmons, Mary is losing her patience. Isn’t it your job to protect her from monster like me?
Luke: He’s not going to talk, let her go!
Sylar: (looking askance at him) You say that ‘cause you care, kid, or is it just a preconditioned response ‘cause mommy drew the short straw? (smirking as Mary’s breath rattles through her closed throat)
Luke: (bitter) What do you know about me?
Sylar smiles menacingly at him and takes a sip of his tea.
Sylar: Mom’s a drone and dad abandoned you. I know that rage, Luke, and I know that deep down (turning back to Mary) you’d like nothing more than to see her blood all over the living room floor.
Mary’s eyes are fluttering, her body giving up. Luke fights the force holding him, he struggles to get his hand up.
Luke: (strained) Gotta help! (EDIT: Or "Go to hell" which does make more sense. <3
pupnamedpeter for helping me with Dan's mumbling XD)
He wrenches himself up and throws his hand towards Sylar. Red waves discharges and hits the cup, causing the tea to boil over. Sylar jerks back and drops the cup and the hold he has on Mary’s throat. Both he and Mary stares at Luke; Sylar in fascination, Mary in shock and distaste. Luke looks shaken, checking for their reactions.
Sylar: (to Luke) Well, well, it’s a small world. (pause) You and I really need to talk. (standing up)
Scene 3 (25:11- 27:57)
Sylar and Luke standing together. Luke watches as Sylar places a Batman figure on the table between them. Sylar moves to stand by a grand father’s clock, crossing his arms and examining Luke with intense focus.
Sylar: Show me.
Luke tentatively steps forward. Mary is watching them in disbelief over Agent Simmons shoulder. Sighing, almost impassively, Luke concentrates on the toy, lifting his hand and sending out red waves that melts it down to a puddle.
Luke: (eyes flitting back and forth) Some stuff melts, some burns, water boils - kinda like a microwave.
Sylar: That’s very impressive.
Luke: (smirking) You should see what happens around pacemakers.
Sylar gives a dry chuckle. Mary seems more and more disturbed. Sylar twitches to look at her then moves to stand in Luke’s direct line of vision, turning his back to the living room. Agent Simmons sees this, and looks at his gun, which is lying on his bag only a couple of feet away. He struggles to lift his hand, to get the knife free from the chair.
Sylar: You know, I heard you at the door. That kid you hit at school, he didn’t call your mother a whore. You lied. You do that a lot.
Luke: Why do you care?
Sylar: Because you’re living half a block down from my father. If that’s a coincidence God’s improved his sense of humor.
Luke: (shaking his head) You’re wrong. I’m no one, I… I’m not. I don’t have any friends. Shoplift crap I don’t even want and sell my ritalin to meth mouths at school.
The air shimmers.
Mary: Luke, stop.
Sylar: No, no, no, don’t worry. He’s lying. At least about the drugs.
Luke: (indicating Mary) She hates me, you know.
Mary: No, I don’t.
Sylar: (to Mary, exasperated) Well, I don’t even need an ability to know that’s a lie.
Mary grumbles.
Sylar: (to Luke) She can see it in you, Luke. What you can do.
Agent Simmons and Mary share a look. He renews his struggles.
Luke: No, she doesn’t know about it.
Sylar: I’m not talking about the power. I’m talking about you. (lifting a finger to his own head) This is what scares them, what’s in here. (hoarsely) The will.
They stare at each other.
Mary: I love my son! I just want him to be happy.
Sylar: (rolling his eyes, turning back to her) Well, he’s not.
Mary grumbles again. Luke looks thoughtful.
Sylar: (to Luke again) You lie, Luke, because you’d rather be anyone else other than yourself. That’s why you got into that fight. That kid could be dead with your ability, the only reason he’s alive is because of your kindness and that scares you. Now, you’re going to tell me about this power and everything you know about the man living down the street.
The knife in Agent Simmons hand starts to lift from the wood. He rips it out and tears out the other knife as well, before he runs to the gun.
Luke: (shoving Sylar out of the way) Wait! Stop!
He uses his ability on the agent, the red waves causing his skin to burn and his blood to boil.
Mary: Luke, stop! Luke, stop!!
He’s dead before he hits the ground, but Luke keeps roasting him. Blood turns the carpet red around the body, and smoke rises up.
Mary: Stop it! Luke! STOP!
Luke stops, folding into himself, seemingly disbelieving of what he’s done. Sylar rounds the corner and watches the carnage.
Mary: (screaming) You killed him!
Luke: I… He was gonna…
Mary: He was gonna save us! What are you?
Luke looks confused, but behind him one corner of Sylar’s mouth twitches up in a smile.
Scene 4 (28:00-29:39)
The exterior of the Campbell house. It’s nighttime, so some time has passed since the last scene. There are no more sirens to be heard or police cars around. The front door opens and Sylar steps out. Two seconds later the door opens again and Luke follows.
Luke: Hey! (jumps down the stairs) Hey!
Sylar turns to look at him as he runs to his side.
Luke: Take me with you.
Sylar chuckles and keeps walking.
Luke: Hello, did you hear me?
Sylar: Yes.
Luke: So what?
The killer stops and turns.
Sylar: So you just killed the one shot I had at finding my old man.
Luke: He was gonna shoot you in the head! I mean, I could have just let him. (small smile)
Sylar: And I let you live. Which (placing a hand on Luke’s shoulder) is kind of a big deal for me. (pushing him away)
Sylar starts walking. Luke follows.
Luke: I-I could tell you more about your father.
Sylar: Yeah, so could a milk carton. I’m not that interested.
Luke: Look, I can’t stay here! With her?! (waving a hand towards the house) With this. (holding the hand up) You’re the only one who understands what it’s like.
Luke stops and spreads his arms.
Luke: I know where he is!
Sylar comes to a sudden halt, turning to look at Luke for a long moment. Luke stares up at him apprehensively.
Sylar: Well, you’re not lying, which only means that you think you can find him.
Luke: And I know why you’re looking for him.
Sylar: (stepping closer) Tell me.
Luke: Because you’re just like me. Trying to figure out why you are the way you are, and in this whole hellish world your dad might by your only answer. You take me with you I’ll walk you right up his driveway.
Sylar: (looking towards the house) Does your mother have a car?
Luke holds up a set of keys.
Luke: (smiling) Not anymore.
Sylar’s lips twitches upwards and he snatches the keys out of Luke’s hand. Luke seems momentarily startled, eyes flicking up and down before settling on Sylar’s. Sylar nods him towards to car and he turns with a small smile, and start walking. After a beat Sylar follows him and they walk side by side, Luke pointing out the car.
Scene 5 (34:59-35:13)
It’s daylight again. The car is driving down a road, no one else in sight. Luke sits in the passenger seat, turning his head to look at Sylar, his eyes doing that thing were they flick up and down before landing on Sylar’s face. Sylar, perhaps sensing the stare, looks back at him before going back to watching the road again.
