We finally went to go see the house that we've been looking into for the past couple of weeks, and I simply fell in love with it.
It's absolutely adorable. It's this quaint little four-bedroom thing on a horse farm, and there are eighteen acres of land on the property just by itself. In addition to that, there are marked trails which lead into 700 some-odd acres of woodland. That just about made me cream my shorts, because I have literally fantasized about living on the cusp of wilderness since I was a child.
The kitchen is bright and sunny with a huge window that looks on to the forest beyond, and there's a little swingset outside which would be PERFECT for the kids. (Israel's kids and my soon to be godchild :D) The horse barn and corral is right near by, so I can gaze at them all the time like a weirdo and pretend that I'm in The Ring.
I myself called dibs on the basement room (Mmkay,
5x3minutes? XD) because it's relatively isolated, spacious, and will soon have its own bathroom (with a tub as well.) Also, it works nicely because if Greg decides to move in as well, it will be like us having our own apartment without disturbing anyone.
It feels slightly miniature on the inside (could be because I'm beast tall) but it was a nice kind of hobbit-like miniature feeling. The whole place lets in lots of sunshine and it's just...so cozy and pretty.
We're going to have another look at it next week once it's completely refurbished and everything, and I'm all excited. :D
