I just got back from an amazing and absolutely exhausting weekend at AOPi Leadership Institute 2006. It was amazing the things I learned. I learned incredibly practical things, such as the EXACT location your pin should be at; I learned things for my office; I learned how AOPi truly can be for a lifetime and how strong sisterhood can be, even among strangers. Although it was hard for me to push myself to go, I am incredibly glad I did and incredibly blessed through the support system AOPi has offered me. I was everyone had the opportunity to experience what a wonderful connection that is.
This week is just more of the same. Working full time with my babies. Babysitting for Patrick tomorrow evening. Running at 5am. Hanging out with Brian in the evenings. Never sleeping enough. Abother week, same old routine. This weekend, though, I am going on a trip with my Dad. We are going to Bardstown, KY where we will go to a distillery and take part in a bourbon tasting party. Not the typical father/daughter activity, but should be a good time.
There is big exciting news in the Lippert Life. I'll discuss it more in a month or two. Eeek.
I was looking at my calendar for this fall semester and it feels like it is already over, and it hasn't even begun! There is so much going on. It seems like we go straight from recruitment to fall break, to initiation and stuff, to Thanksgiving break, to finals. I seriously think the semester is going to fly by because it is insanely busy. And then in the Spring life will slow down a lot. I'll only be taking 15 hours (not 18) and being a senior, my AOPi duties should be a lot less (especially with not having an office anymore). And then, fall of 2007, ONLY 12 HOURS and I won't be active. I'll have more time than I know what to do with! It's insane, almost being an adult. I will miss school though. I am one of those dorks that likes to study and learn. It will be sad that I won't HAVE to sit down and read novels and write anymore. I do enjoy that.
Well, I am simply on an extended lunch break. I ought to head back to MTCC.
