Last night was amazing! I can't believe that's what I've been missing the past 4 year. Screw you Hallmark for making me miss caroling!
To catch everyone up, last night we went Christmas caroling. We visited a nursing home, friends, family and former teachers. It was seriously awesome. Even with Brianna and me singing crappy soprano it was still rocking. It's easy to forget how much average people appreciate music. To me, singing in harmony is no big deal because I've been doing it my whole life. But to people that don't automatically harmonize with every song on the radio, it's a big deal! They gushed, the cooed, they fed us cookies (OMG, so delicious!) and they were really, really happy to see us. Dumbledore was right - "Ah, music," he said, wiping his eyes. "A magic beyond all we do here!"
Then to top off the evening we headed back to the Zimmerman's and Maxie was on his way to SJ so he stopped by and we ended up singing for a couple more hours. Michael brought out his sheet music and we sang a bunch of songs from high school. It totally put me in the Christmas spirit! Bring on that 8-9 hour shift today! Well...maybe I shouldn't get carried away. ;)
I miss singing so much.
Oh, Merry Christmas Eve, Eve! Yes, that's what I called it when I was little.
