my weekend with Ellen and Xena
So I was in Steven's Point visiting Ellen all weekend and omg, it was so much fun. We started off by going to the store and getting chips and salsa, candy corn, ice cream, and doritos. Then we started our Xena Season 1 marathon. It's better than I ever remembered. Ellen recorded a great quote by Gabrielle said to Xena as she confiscated Gabrielle's breast dagger for herself..."as if your breasts aren't dangerous enough!" Oh, it was funny. We continued to laugh at the slight lesbian references already present in season 1 and at the many continuity errors of Gabrielle's staff and outfit. We left at some point on Saturday and got coffee, but other than that it was Xena almost the whole time, though we did play smash bros. a little bit, just to mix it up. Hopefully by the time Ellen comes and visits me next I'll have acquired season 2, and if not, I'll go buy it.
P.S. Ellen has THE cutest cat ever, it's fricken adorable.
One more funny thing, I found myself with the ability to predict what the episode was about just by hearing the title (ex. "Warrior...Princess" omg, this is the one where there is this princess who looks exactly like xena and she's all prissy and people are trying to kill her so they switch places and have to pretend to be eachother. "Death in Chains" the one where this king captures death and no one can die so xena has to free her(yes death is a woman) or "Beware Greeks bearing gifts" which is probably the worst portrayal of the trojan horse incident I've ever seen.)
