I did an audition today and just found out that I got the part. :) There were 4 others going for the role so I'm pretty happy to have won that one. It's for a play called Brilliant Lies. It's by an Australian playwright - David Williamson. It looks at the issue of sexual harassment in the workplace. I will be playing an anti discrimination mediator (who has a few issues of her own).
I wasn't going to do another play so soon, but I really like the director's work and I know she'll do a good job of directing. It does mean I'm back to limited time for fannish stuff (boo!), but acting is like therapy for me, so I think it will be worthwhile.
School finishes in 2 weeks. YAY! 5 weeks holiday here I come (boy, do I need it…). I'm going to spend a week in Queensland in January, which will my first "proper" holiday in about 12 years (how did THAT happen?!)
I am currently working on my xmas gift vid. I am really worried I won't get it finished on time (haven't done one past 3 minutes in AGES!), but I going to give it my best shot. Even if I don't finish it before Xmas, I will still finish it and gift it. :)
Thanks to

fandomaid. I promise I WILL get your works complete - it just might take me a while. Sorry.
I've been up and down about the show this week. I've gone from being quite positive to feeling rather negative. It's taken me a while to figure out what exactly a lot of my flist have been unhappy with this season and when it finally sunk in it made me sad too (I'm not going to rehash it here, but it's in some discussion threads in my last reaction post).
Having said that though I am going to remain cautiously optimistic for the second half. At the beginning of this season I said I was going to watch and try and be a little more detached than I had been in the past (ha!). It's not been easy because this season's storyline has totally sucked me in. I've loved it. It's the way it's now going to play out that worries me (and what they are going to do with Sam). BUT! 1) no point worrying over something that hasn't happened yet, 2) it's just a TV show (and it's ridiculous that I actually have to remind myself of that and 3) the pretty won't let me stay away (yes, I shall resort to being completely shallow ).
Hope you are all well and surviving the lead up to Christmas. The world's kind of a mess at the moment so I'm hoping we figure out ways to consume less and take the time to appreciate humanity more.
*hugs*
