The stars are very visible in Seoul's night sky right now, as Kim Jaejoong looks thoughout the transparent glass wall beside him. Wearing an elegant tux, the mentioned raven haired beauty sit at the most end corner of an expensive restaurant. Every second, he is constantly looking on his wrist watch or fiddling with his phone to see if there's any important message from the person he loves the most. He also sometimes check his reflection on the glass to see if there's anything wrong on his face. He smiles at his own reflection.
Words cannot express how much happy Jaejoong is right now, and it somehow lessen his nervousness. It was indeed, a very special night for him and his boyfriend. It was the third year anniversary of their relationship, and Jaejoong could feel something special would happen to them tonight... something like, marriage proposal? He could already imagine it; his finger wearing a silver band no one could ever break. He silently giggled at the thought.
Few hours passed by, and Jaejoong is already tired of waiting. Why, look at the time! It's already past nine. The waiters are constantly reminding him that it's almost closing time, but the beauty remain seated and insisting to pay for their overtime. He again dialed his boyfriend's number for the nth time but no to avail, he really couldn't make a call. He huffed in anger, causing his face to scrunched up.
Then series of theories started flowing on his head. There are many of them, but a certain thought brought fear on him. Could it be that.. his boyfriend was involved in an accident? Panic rushed through his head as he stood up and left the table. Just as when he was about to exit the mentioned restaurant, he bumped into someone.
"Jaejoong.." That familiar voice made Jaejoong's heart beat faster. He spun around and saw his tall handsome boyfriend in his business attire.
"Hyunjoong!" His sour face changed into a happy one, as he smiled at him.
"What took you so long? I thought something bad has happened to you!" Jaejoong said with worries present on his voice. "Come, let's eat. We still have time." Jaejoong smiled sweetly then linked his arms with Hyunjoong as they entered the restaurant. Hyunjoong somewhat felt uneasy, but still followed the enthusiastic Jaejoong.
The couple sat at that same table Jaejoong used a few hours ago. After placing and getting their orders, the two ate in silence. Jaejoong watched his boyfriend eat as he sat at the opposite side of him. "Hyunjoong," He started. "Is your cellphone with you? I'm trying to call you a few times but you aren't--"
The screeching sound of the knife on Hyunjoong's plate ceased down, as he stopped eating. Jaejoong's words also halted as he watched the businessman in front of him.
"Jae, I know what today's ocassion is. We've been together for almost three years, and..."
Hyunjoong seems so very nervous at the moment, and Jaejoong could only think of the marriage proposal.
"... and this relationship has to stop."
Looks like Jaejoong's world stopped from its spinning, as he heard Hyunjoong's words. "W-what?"
Hyunjoong heaved a deep sigh before he continue. "Look, the two of us doesn't have enough time for each other anymore. We're both busy from work, and we can only see each other once a week."
Jaejoong interrupted. "But we still have communication--"
"I FELL OUT OF LOVE, OKAY?" Hyunjoong decided to be blunt, but he made sure his words wouldn't sound any harsh.
But with that cold tone present on his voice, sure he doesn't sound any harsh.
"H-Hyunnie-ah..." Jaejoong uttered. As he reach Hyunjoong's hand, the businessman pulled away. This gesture made Jaejoong's heart bleed more. "I'm sorry, Jaejoong. Maybe... maybe I'm not just the right one for you. You deserve better. You might end up with a girl someday--"
"It's been three years and we can never get enough of each other, how can it be...?" Jaejoong's voice started to crack up, eyes watering in the process.
"I'm... I'm really sorry, Jaejoong." Hyunjoong could only shook his head. Jaejoong stayed still, palm cupping his face as Hyunjoong stood up and left. He can't bear to see people leaving him. It hurts to feel that he's alone once again. People always come and go, and he couldn't do anything about it.
To satisfy everyone's curiousity, Hyunjoong was Jaejoong's fourth ex-boyfriend. Although Jaejoong is too beautiful to be a man, he doesn't always get the guy of his dreams. All they want from him is his beauty, money and fame. Being a well-known the sweetest fashion consultant, he earned too much popularity that causes him to gain so many admirers and ex-boyfriends. The society knows he's homosexual and the girls were very devastated about it. But being a homosexual was more devastating, for those guys didn't do any good but to break his heart into pieces.
To commemorate his broken-hearted self again, he decided to drink this off. He stormed off the restaurant after paying the bill and headed off to the nearest bar.
---
"...t-the sun will s-shine aft-ter the r-rain--HIC! Hehehe~" Jaejoong lewdly sang as he drank off the last ounce of the strong alcoholic beverage he's been drinking. "Oh, wait, isn't the rainbow supposed to shine first before the sun? The composer of that song sucks. Oh yeah yeah yeah~" He didn't know what he just had murmuring right now, for he was very drunk at the moment.
Jaejoong loved to entertain people who flirted around him, but tonight he had reached his limit. He just realized that every relationship he had was just a fling, nothing serious. And thus, he wants to tolerate himself. He had to decline sometimes too.
"Heyy young man, wanna hang out?" A liberated man about his age leaned over him as he offered his drink. "No thanks, I'm way too full and I'm wayyyyyyy too taken~ so stop flirting~~" He giggled as he shoved the person away. "Come on, just a few sip--"
"I said I don't want to! I want to be alone and my heart doesn't want to play anymore so shut the fuck up!" Jaejoong bursted out, uttering those words in just a single breathing. The person was stunned upon this but the people around them didn't mind, for they were busy partying and having their good time. "Okayyy~" The guy shrugged this off and walked away from him. Jaejoong giggled again, but sighed and palmed his face as he realized what he did.
It's going to be a long night for him.
---
It's almost past midnight, and Jaejoong's mind was still unconscious as he pranced around the streets of Seoul without any assistance from someone. Yes, he's a heavy drinker and he can always handle the amount of alcohol his body can consume. But this time, he can't tolerate himself anymore; for he was very upset right at the moment. Clothes disheveled, unbuttoned and untied; Jaejoong's actions are still lewd as he find his way home.
On the other side of the street, a certain someone was following the drunken beauty. Judging from his appearance, he was a bum. And with a small pocket knife on his hand, this man seems to be a thief. Like a beast, he was about to pounce his prey when the latter suddenly bursted out. "AISH!"
The man behind him was startled, causing him to be alert and gripped on his pocket knife. You see, this man is still a novice. Kim Jaejoong is his first ever target. Seeing that Jaejoong was reckless, the man continued to watch his actions and tried his best to have his way to the man.
"Liars. Heartbreakers. Go die." The beauty uttered as he ruthlessly stomped his foot on the ground.
'He's drunk, he won't mind it. What are you waiting for, Yunho? Go seize the opportunity!' Jung Yunho's inner mind was nagging him to steal the beauty's belongings, but his conscience started to kick in. 'Yunho, have some mercy to the poor guy. Be a good citizen.'
'Forget about being a good man, Yunho. This is what you are now. You've vowed to be a bad man, act like one. Good guys never win.'
And thus, Yunho's bad side won. He needed money badly, that's what all matters tonight.
Slowly but surely, Yunho approached him and held him on his shoulders. "Surrender your valuables right now and nobody gets hurt." Yunho sternly said as he secured his other arm around Jaejoong. Instead of being concerned about what's happening, Jaejoong whined. "Ahhhh! I said I don't want to play anymooooore~ What part of my sentence doesn't convince you, huh?" Crouching down on the ground, Jaejoong sobbed more.
With the help of the moonlight, Yunho's breathing hitched as he saw Jaejoong's beauty.
Jaejoong's face contour was perfect, too beautiful for a guy. The rays of the moonlight emphasizes his flawless milky white skin, that small mole on his high cheekbone, well-pointed nose and those lips.. those lips were ajar and begging to be kissed; for it was very rosy and kissable. But those big doe eyes were puffy, red and it shows mere sadness.
Upon observing how vulnerable this beauty was right now, Yunho's ulterior motives were vanished and completely forgotten. He hid his small knife back on his pocket and turned to the guy whose sobbing on the ground. He felt pity towards him.
He then crouched down too and their faces were only few inches away from each other's. Yunho could smell the alcohol from Jaejoong's lips. "I said I don't want to--"
Jaejoong's voice ceased down as Yunho reached for his face and caressed his cheeks, wiping the tears. "H-Hyunjoong-ah..." Jaejoong managed to utter. 'Hyunjoong? Is that a guy's name?' Yunho kept his silence as Jaejoong continued talking. "I--I thought you're... no... you--you can't do this to me... no..." Tears fell down on Jaejoong's cheeks, but Yunho managed to wipe it off.
"I'm... I'm not the Hyunjoong you're talking about." Yunho could only muster a lame reply. "Liar... you were! WHY CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I'M REALLY SERIOUSLY IN LOVE WITH YOU?! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO LEAVE ME?!" Jaejoong almost screamed, causing Yunho to be stunned about this. He was still still talking about Hyunjoong right?
'Yunho, you just met this guy. Don't tell me you're assuming something--'
His thoughts were interrupted by Jaejoong's weak punches on his chest. "Why... why do you need to do this to me...? I love you... so much..."
'He... he's really gay.' Yunho continued to stare at him. He slowly gripped Jaejoong's wrist, avoiding him to get more punches from the drunken beauty. "I said, I'm not Hyunjoong..." Yunho spoke as he hold his shoulders.
Jaejoong carelessly ranted without knowing the stranger's presence in front of him. "All of you... all of you are always the same. Liars. Sweet talkers. Heartbreakers. I want to.. I want to settle down and have a family. Family... I miss my family... they left me... my friends... oh I don't consider them as one, for they were fucking backstabbers... and then you'll left me too..."
Upon hearing his complains, Yunho concluded that this guy must've suffered a lot on his life too. He remembered his family... how his family abandoned him too and treated him like a trash. It feels like hell, and so he found a way to escape and rebel. He didn't finished his schooling, and he needed money that's why he's trying to steal things from others in order to live.
And so, Yunho's ulterior motives kicked back. When Jaejoong stopped blabbering, Yunho started rummaging through his things. 'Where is his wallet?'
"Come on, show me the money..." Yunho mumbled as he still continued his search for his wallet. After a minute, he found it on Jaejoong's right pocket. In a split of second, he heard the most beautiful giggle in his whole existence.
"T-that--that tickles... hahahahaha~!"
The drunken beauty was heartily laughing, causing Yunho to be stunned once again. 'Ahhh, this guy distracts me from doing evil things...'
"You owe me one for this Mister... Mister..." Yunho opened the wallet and saw Jaejoong's ID. "... Kim Jaejoong."
'What a nice name...'
Yunho decided to be the good man and pulled Jaejoong to the nearest convenience store. Using Jaejoong's money, Yunho purchased coffee in order to wash off Jaejoong's alcohol. "Here, drink this..." Yunho carefully gave the coffee to him. After a few sips, Jaejoong's consciousness started to kick in.
"W-who are you? Where am I?" He just realized that he was accompanied by a stranger--wait, a handsome stranger... although he's not neat-looking. "You're madly drunk, I saw you on the street, I helped you, now you owe me back." Yunho answered.
"What do I owe you...?" Jaejoong asked innocently, still sipping the coffee. "I want a reward." Yunho said.
"Like what...?"
"Money, what else?" Yunho raised his brow. "I don't even know you, why would I give you some?" Jaejoong crossed his arms on his chest. To hide his true identity, Yunho made up lies. "I helped you, you should return the deed."
This guy must be right. Jaejoong remembered how drunk he was. He must caused trouble from this guy when he was drunk. He was mad about everything, and he needed someone to talk to. "Wait, before I pay you... would you... would you accompany me for a while? I really need someone to talk to."
"Don't you have any friends?" Yunho snorted, causing Jaejoong's ego to immense. "Yah, are you mocking me about everyone leaving me? My life's full of mess, and then you'll just laugh it off? Fine, go away! Everyone's leaving me anyways!" Jaejoong shouted.
"It's not what I meant, aish. Fine, I'll stay." Yunho shrugged, feeling pity against this guy. "I can... I can lend you a shoulder to cry on... but you better pay off the price."
"Name the price, and I'll pay it."
---
Jaejoong's wristwatch says it's already 3AM, and he was still being accompanied by the stranger. In just a few hours, they talked about everything about themselves. It's like getting to know each other, and they were so comfortable with each other's company. They both have the same past, very dark and kinda tragedic. But Yunho didn't tell him about his intentions to Jaejoong a while ago. He just let his good side to handle this.
"You haven't got yourself a lover? That's too suprising, you're good-looking~" Jaejoong's compliments caused Yunho's heart to leap out of his chest. "Love will find me someday." He could only reply. Another lame reply.
Suddenly, Jaejoong stopped in front of a bungalow house. "Oh, we have arrived." He turned his head to Yunho. "Thank you mister... I haven't gotten your name. Haha, it's so funny, we talked about everything but I never asked about your name."
"It's Yunho. Jung Yunho." Yunho's smile caused Jaejoong's fluttering on his stomach. "Hmm.. will I be able to see you again... Yunho?" Jaejoong asked, eyes resembled like a cute puppy. "Of... of course... but I don't have any form of communication. Maybe I'll just visit you often." Yunho managed to reply. "I'll look forward about that." Jaejoong smiled again.
Jaejoong's next moves made Yunho's heart skip a beat. He suddenly tiptoed to reached Yunho's face and placed a kiss on his cheek. "Thank you again, see you and goodnight." He waved and walked inside his house.
"He wants to see me again.."
Instead of Yunho stealing something from him, Jaejoong was actually the culprit. 'In just one night, you've stolen my heart... you angel.' Yunho smiled.
