After December I will be a California Girl!
Currently I am scouring the internet for a job, but the decision has been made.
Thanksgiving, I will be out in Palmdale/Lancaster/Burbank (etc) handing out my resume and portfolio.
I'm so nervous.... so nervous.
But my Aunt & Uncle are letting me stay for a PHENOMENALLY awesome amount... and I would be kicking myself in future if I didn't take it.
Plus, I should have the opportunity to come back to this area if I need to...
Whew...
I'm going to go out there on a rather shoestring budget, and I am thinking of camping my way out there. Like taking a sleeping bag and a tent and finding some KOA's along the way... campin off I-40. Travel coffeee.... definately!!
Lots to do, but the only thing I can focus on really is job hunting. Need to get that taken care of. Very important to find a job.... Anyone have any advice on job hunting in CA, or just job hunting out of state... please let me know!
For right now, I'm going to be writing about the journey in a new blog. I'm not sure whether to call it Volifornia, or Calinteer or Southern Belle in the Smog or Belle in the Desert or what.... I'm still debating.... but I'm also considering trying to sell it to the Knoxv'ull magazine, or if anyone knows something in Memphis that might be interested. I don't know if the sentinel would be interested in it... hrm..
