Padma had, in fact, not noticed the holes in the box. She only knew that is was cardboard and rather large for something simple like a little gift. There was nothing unusual about that in some odd reason- it was Terry and for all she knew he was simply getting her something like a set of books. She would not mind that as long as they had nothing to do with Russia. She was done with that wasteland and everything that archetype had to offer. She tilted her head more as he responded. Hearing that she deserved it was nice to hear- someone appreciated her slaving over the ridiculous assignment. It was worse than the freezing air on the site.
Hearing that he ran into Luna, a small smile appeared on the witch’s face. She liked Luna. Granted the girl was extremely odd and that she was not exactly the best person to meet in Muggle London but it was alright. The blond always meant well and that was what mattered. At the pause something she did not expect happened and that was the box letting out a noise. Eyes jumping to the box, Padma walked forward a bit more before returning her gaze to Terry’s soft expression. It had become more curious as if she really should figure out what was going on in that box.
“Terry, why did the box just squeak?” she asked, sounding rather dumb for a Padma comment. She knew why the box made a noise, there was an animal inside and judging by the sound something furry and possibly a rodent. She always liked them so anything would be adorable and highly uncalled for. Terry did not need to be spending money on her, especially since they had such a small flat and were content with the way things were going.\
