dancing barefoot in a fredericksburg bar, hopping around elated to "portions for foxes." seriously, who plays rilo kiley in the club, and can i please have at least one of their children?
it was an unexpected saturday evening, doing shoulder stands and plow poses on the sidewalk, laughing harder than i have in a long while. it made my week. christine, shaun and i were practically the only english speakers in the restaurant, so we took advantage, telling raunchy snozberry stories (they do taste like snozberries), assessing the pros and cons of twitter, parking poorly, and then dancing like mad hipsters. hopping, twirling, ballroom dancing, yes, all barefoot. a wooden floor, a shitty soundsystem and shaun as a dancing partner just might be all i need to smile.
today was really my welcome back for my sister; cooked dinner for the family, tried to catch up on my consulting work, prepped for that enviro meeting tomorrow, and made a couple really good mix cds to say goodbye to a good friend and colleague who is leaving to, well, travel the world for a year.
i am infinitely jealous.
