Just wanna write down today's Japanese session with students from Kagoshima University!
But before that, last week very unexpectedly, students from Keio University (KEIO!) came into our Japanese class to advertise some Japanese internship opportunities from Japan! I got two of their contacts in case I want more info, as there is one that caught my eye, but... Next year is graduation... I think chances are very low to try T_T Plus, total different field from what I'm studying... but I definitely would want to know more!
Back to students from Kagoshima. We were split into groups and were supposed to have discussed the assigned topic with them - as comprehensible as possible of course - and we got "energy and environment". I was the only girl from our class LOL what was that all about? I felt the need to make sure our "leader" of the group wasn't going too fast or too complicatedly and ease the Kagoshima students into the conversation. And well, pretend I actually know something about the topic xD; I studied the topic 3-4 years ago, but my memory span's rather weak LOL
But after the discussion was over, it was more fun. Because we're actually interacting with the students in a conversational way, and I got to exchange contact with a few of them :D They were so polite and great to talk with. We chatted a little bit about my major and their majors, about their experience so far, what's their impression about our school, etc. I still have problems forming the sentences right away orally, and keeping the teinei consistent, but it was good practice.
And then the few that I was chatting with recognized my Arashi Beautiful World tour bag xD! One of them even said their favorite member is Sho (可愛いからって xDD), and we went on a little fangirl moment, such as saying we hope to go to one of their concerts one day, about favorite songs, and then one of the guys brought up News Zero too xD I also mentioned Nino's probably more famous overseas since he has been to Hollywood, and I mentioned going to the Gantz Hollywood 8D
Then we did a mini campus tour for them, tho more like we stayed at the student union and chilled xD But this is really my first time having conversations in almost all Japanese, minus us having to look up the dictionary couple times. The session ended with all the groups meeting up in front of our library and taking group pictures.
It was seriously lots of fun... makes me want to get even better at speaking the language better. Maybe keep my opportunities open for anything.
Now... just to end with how this very man above has done to me the past month. (with someone spoiling me to no end, you know who you are) lol
