The Supernatural and Manga ^_^
OK, so I have a lunch meeting with my 'elder' friend scheduled for today, I hope this'll get some of my questions answered at least, if not all. If nothing else I hope it'll clear some things up and either promt more meetings until it's resolved, or at least remove the worry that's kept me from writing/typing all these ideas I have for stories.
In happier news, I got a message the other day that a fellow fanfic writer that I've been catching up on has friended me ^_^
Yay, someone thinks I'm worthwhile to talk to, at least to some degree ^_^
I also got a call from my mom Sat. For my nearly ten years (wow, has it really been that long?) since I've stopped living in the same house my relationship with her has improved a lot. She keeps asking me what I want for my b-day/Hanukkah/Christmas (she's Jewish, but married into a 'christian' family, so we have a family gathering for each) and this year I was bitten by the manga bug, so I figured I'd get an early start on sending her my 'wish list' and give her a list of what manga I was following so she could see if she could help out with my collection.
When I talked to her, she was at her local bookstore and had found one of the series that I'd been having trouble finding and she was checking that I was interested in it. So since that call, I've put my own purchase of books on hold until I can find out what she got for me. Next weekend we're planning to hold an 'early b-day/going away party' for my sister (leaving for college out-of-state), my aunt (b-day later in August, I think) and I (b-day early Sept) and hopefully I'll learn what books to avoid getting then. Looking forward to it more than usual for gatherings.
