The Hobbit - An unexpected journey
In short: It's at its best when Bilbo, Gandalf and Gollum are on the screen. The actors are simply terrific. 48fps is a giant fail. Great for a theater piece maybe (it feels like you're in a theater in the close scenes) or for fully animated movies (looks like a great video game), but it's not something for a magical world like Middle Earth.
That said: SMAUG!!!
And why do we have to wait a year again? Oh my, maybe they'll manage the technicalities better until then. I want more Bilbo and Gandalf though (and Smaug). Now would be good.
Twice in one day is a bit hard on the eyes (but not on the heart, oh no).
