That was it. Yabu Kouta and his partner-forever Yaotome Hikaru had it. They were tired of Takaki. Fed up, sick and couldn’t stand him anymore... especially if he was going to stay like that. Always staring at Chinen when he was texting someone, when he was talking on the phone with Hasshi (they guessed it was Hasshi because the only other 'Ryousuke' they knew of was Yamada and most of the time, Yamada was in the same room or close enough, so it wasn't him) or when Chinen and Hasshi were leaving together to who-knows-where...
So, they went boyfriend hunting. Willing or not, Takaki Yuya was going to have someone. A boyfriend, a fake boyfriend, a new best friend, a butt-slut, whatever! He just needed someone so he'd be less annoying; Takaki's mood was killing the JUMP dynamism.
"Hey there, looking for a boyfriend?"
"A dorky and smart person?"
"A cute and sexy dude?"
"A stylish and hot guy?"
"A children lover? A funny brother?"
"A snazzy boy who can rock our world?"
"Well, we have a deal for you! A boy you can't refuse, JUMP's one and only Takaki Yuya!"
...but it wasn't so great. Hikaru and Yabu put full effort into matching Takaki with someone, exposing all his good sides and how good it was to date him. They went to see everyone. They even tried to add some 'extras' to Takaki, like Yabu's watch or Hikaru's guitar... but the results weren't satisfying.
"What a waste of time!" Hikaru groaned after his shower, "How come NO ONE wants to date Takaki?!"
"Took a look at him, lately? He looks horrible. That's why." Kouta, who was already halfway dressed in the 'locker room', was messing with his phone. "We're not doing it the right way." He added, not looking up from his cell phone a second. "Falling in love happens, no one makes it happen. It just does."
"Thanks for the wise words, Dalai-Lama, but that didn't get Takaki anyone." The younger of the two said. "No one said yes!"
The leader didn't look up but still answered his pal, "Yes, some people did accept the offer, but you had too much junk in your ears to hear it." He replied, "You should pay attention."
The other boy, who was trying to remember where his locker was, swore a few times. He wished they didn't stay so long after practice to call people about this, he wished they left earlier so he could have dropped by his girlfriend's place of work... and he wished Arioka was here, Hikaru didn't remember where his locker was when the guy wasn't here since Daiki's was next to his and now there were no shorties to orientate him. "Who said yes?" He asked, observing lockers.
Yabu finally pressed the 'send' button on his phone and put it in his bag, "We have Kitayama-kun, Shoon, Tegoshi-kun, Yama-chan, Dai-chan, Funabiki, Kyomoto and weirdly, Nozawa." He said, "Can I vote against Nozawa? He wants to sabotage our group." Or so said Kamei, whatever, Yabu trusted his boyfriend more than he trusted Nozawa.
"Agreed." Hikaru said. "Who else?"
They were going to eliminate people like this until they found something appropriate... or not.
"I wouldn't be able to stomach Shoon with Takaki," Yabu said, making a gesture like he was about to vomit. Just the thought of this made him feel ill.
Hikaru agreed, "Yeah, and he'd try to sex Takaki up, too." He added but then noticed that his buddy looked a little green, so he changed topic now. "Who else is out?"
"Yama-chan. I think he's in love, too... so I vote against him. I bet he's secretly dating someone or something..." Yabu said. He knew about this girl the young boy had been interested in but Yamada recently said that it wasn't really love and that someone else caught his attention. Kouta was not really sure about the truth about Yamada's love life, but he knew the boy wasn't really alone, he had a feeling...
Hikaru snorted, "Secretly dating Yuto, you mean. I'd be surprised if those two weren't dating." He replied, then went back to topic. "I vote against Kitayama-kun, he's Hashimoto-kun's close friend, he'd blow it all."
The older boy agreed. This wasn't going to work well if they chose someone too close to the 'opposing team'. "So, no to Dai-chan, too. He's very close to Chinen." Yabu pointed out, "Although that would be kind of good for him to be with someone again... still, that's a bad idea."
"Rats, man, I wanted Shorty to be it. Takaki wouldn't mind dating a small person again..." The other boy said, sighing because he wasn't about to win that bet he made with Yuto. He had to find Daiki someone as fast as possible and before the Gossip King or he'd have to face defeat. Yaotome Hikaru wasn't a loser, especially not to Nakajima Yuto. That brat.
"...and he won't again if I have a say in it. That's why I decide that Kyomoto is out." Yabu was really protective of the smaller ones. He didn't want to send another innocent little sheep to the Big Bad Wolf... Okay, Takaki wasn't all that bad, but Yabu really thought innocence was important and he didn't want Taiga to end up with a broken heart without even getting a real romance, yet. That would just be a waste.
"Tegoshi is left." Yaotome said, remembering their list.
The taller of the two made a face at that, "Yeah, but no..."
"Why not?" Hikaru questioned. The match didn't seem too bad. "They already know each other from Shabake, Tegoshi is over 14 and they have a point in common." He said, finally finding his locker, opening it and shoving his hands in it, looking for his clothes.
"Other than acting in Shabake? What?" Yabu asked, continuing to change. He was pretty surprised that those two could ever share something.
The jester snorted, "Their first name. It's Yuya."
"Idiot." Kouta whacked his comrade over the head, "Look, we can't. Tegoshi is... well... uhm.. He's really... much of..."
"You mean, he's..."
"...A sluuuuuuuuut." They completed together, really without meaning to say the same thing as the other, but it was to be expected. Tegoshi's 'sluttiness’ was now legendary in the jimusho. Yabu wasn't sure he wanted to expose Takaki and maybe other members of JUMP to that level of lewdness. Takaki was far from innocent, but there were things he probably didn't need to learn from Tegoshi.
"Then we're out of contestants." Hikaru concluded, throwing his hands up. "Game Over!"
Yabu groaned, "That's because we can't agree on someone because it's Takaki and we both imagine the same person with him... Chinen, and that's because that's who Takaki wants." He said. It was true, he couldn't imagine someone else than Chinen with that guy. "Chinen isn't an option so we're all screwed on this one."
"....yeah. But you know what? If we can't make a choice, let's not make it."
The leader boy looked up with a huge grin on his face, "Heeey, you listened to me! We're going to let Takaki fall in love and not interfere! Giving up can be such a mature idea! I'm proud of you! And surprised, actually." Yabu cheered.
"Give up? Are you stupid?" Hikaru replied and pulled his phone out of his locker after finishing with dressing up, "Let's ask a randomly chosen outsider." He composed a number and waited for the person on the other line to answer.
Yabu, on his end, almost tripped on his half-pulled up pants. "What are you doing?!"
"Shh." The younger said, "Hi, there, my beautiful Avril~" He greeted. "... I know you're working... but I don't want to talk to you, I want to talk to your sister. You’re babysitting her right now, right? The younger one, I mean. " A loud "EEEEEEE?" was heard from the phone after he asked this."Is she breaking stuff in the back store or something? ...isn’t this what four years old do for fun? Can I talk to her, then?" He asked. "Thanks, Baby, I love you." He waited for his girlfriend to give the phone to the child.
No way... Yabu couldn't believe his friend was asking a four years old child to help them on this one. He walked to his friend to listen to what the little girl was to say, though. The best ideas come from children after all, even if they aren't always the most rational ones.
"Sea-chan~ Hi. It's Hikka~" He started talking in a high-pitched voice to the kid who was giggling in the phone, "Sea, I'm going to name you a few name and tell me which one sounds like a prince charming's name, okay?" He told her, and then started to name the guys who were 'candidates' to be Takaki's partner.
"Hmmmm..." Sea was thinking about it, swinging her tiny legs while sitting on a high stool next to her older sister's cash register in the music store she worked at. "The mostest prince charming name is...."
