Life makes me sleepy
So, I'd like to sum up my life at the moment:
1) I got a new job. I'm working with the elderly still, though my hours are far better and considering that I have no restrictions on the times I can work, I should be able to work full-time. Yay! It's going to be a hard job, but if there's one thing I've learned it's that working with the elderly is rarely thankless. Yes, you can end up with someone who is grumpy or they might complain a bit, but most tend to just be happy you're there. I don't mind doing the hard work if it makes someone else's life easier. My mom is trying to convince me to get a "better job", but I'm happy right now. I'm clinging to the phone in hopes that I'll get my first assignment soon, but if I don't that's okay because I have training soon and jobs should show up quicker after that. :D
2) Script Frenzy is in about two and a half days depending on where you live. It's writing 100 pages of script in 30 days. www.scriptfrenzy.org/ If any of you like the idea, you should go check it out. Anyway, no one signed up for the ML position in my town. So, with the help of our wonderful NaNo ML, I'm working as an unofficial leader for the event. I've been pulling things together, preparing, coming up with ideas, and settling with the fact that it's such a small group so I shouldn't expect much. My hope is that if I pull it together this year then next year when I'm official, people will come. I'm pretty excited. I've also got my script all figured out, so I am ready!
3) The cats. Oh, the cats. Martok and Garak are brothers. Plain and simple. They get a little jealous if they think one is getting more time than the other, but they're just fine other than that. All of that is a lot calmer which is nice. That said, I'm obviously not willing to forget them in this Month of Madness I'm heading into so I've been making sure I'm spending time with them as well.
4) RL friends also fall into this category as I don't want to be absent for a month. So, I'm keeping in contact with them constantly as well.
Finally, I owe some people a story. If you too would like a story because you're having a bad day, you're lonely, or you just want me to write you something because you want a story, let me know and I'll add it to the list.
