So I made a half gallon of sekanjabin syrup. Didn't realize until I had to take it off the heat and run off to work that Cariadoc's recipe makes about a pint, and calls for 30 minutes of simmering. Making four pints means four times as much water to simmer off. I can't make it evaporate four times as fast, so it ends up taking almost two hours ( Read more... )

Great to hear about the sekanjabin being a hit :) Sorry I didn't include any scaling for simmer time :(

Hope things work out for the job/etc. hunt...we'll keep our eyes peeled (and I suggested some things to klynn330 too, don't know if she relayed them).

If they were nursing homes in Media to look at, that would be exactly why she's a vile temptress trying to foil my plans with shinies. :p

An hour's commute isn't unthinkable, but after my five minute commute I have here, it's a rather daunting prospect.

I totally forgot about that when I typed out that question.

If I thought I could jump into an apartment before you sold the house, I'd seriously think about it, but I know myself well enough to doubt that.

That, and I'd want to keep it. The house is SO COOL. I'm a sucker for rooms that aren't square.

By my calculations, I have about 6-7 months before the bank claims the house.
