Star Wars

Alright, so, obviously, i love William Shatner. He is an icon of all i hold as good and funny. I was downstairs waiting to go to Blockbuster, and my mom was flipping channels, and i yell "Stop, go back!", because i see him. So she goes back, and on Bravo, there's William Shatner. And he's flanked by two Stormtroopers.

Que? Oh, it gets better.

William Shatner is speaking through Frank Sinatra's 'My Way', except he's singing it as 'Your Way' to George Lucas. It goes on, and all of a sudden, there's a whole buttload of Stormtroopers. And they're forming a line. A...kickline? All of a sudden there's about 15 Stormtroopers doing a can-can-esque dance as William Shatner shouts out his song, and it ends with the Stormtroopers holding William Shatner like a fish in their arms, and me practically dying with laughter.

So, the thing was for George Lucas receiving AFI's Lifetime Achievement Award, with all sorts of lovely people giving lovely speeches, and skimming over Star Wars and Indiana Jones, two of my three favorite movie series.

Today just shines out like a bright star in the sky. Seattle was wonderful; something about the Emerald City in the rain just warms my heart. And we were in my favorite part of town, which would be Westlake Center/Pike Place/Waterfront area, because my best memories are in that place.

That teller at Washington Mutual...totally was. And then we stopped at our favorite yuppie furniture and home decor boutique to do some photography shots in our classic poses. I liked the shoes Sammie got, and i'm glad those ladies found my camera. That camera has been around the world with me.

Photos again. Sammie needs to scan those soon for all of us. Then to the best store in the world, in Pike Place. Got me some yummy pictures/posters of the love of my life. Yes, that's right, Ewan McGregor. My one true love. And then the guy at the counter was very nice, and we talked about Tim Burton's upcoming movies, as he is a genius. Sixth months i've been waiting for 'Corpse Bride', and now there's only 2 more!

My love of the ocean means that the Waterfront is one of the dearest places in my heart. The smell, the salty taste, i love it all. Lunch was fun too. "Only a friggin' idiot would get me regular lemonade!" Classic.

I'm excited for Karaoke Night. I need to clean my room tomorrow, as i have no work. Church on Sunday. Life. Love.
