So LJ, it's been a while.
A lot has happened this spring!
kince13 came down from Seattle for a visit and spent a couple days with us before heading off to a family gathering. His visits are enjoyable, as always. We didn't do anything too crazy, but he wanted to go out in WeHo since he hadn't done that since one of his visits almost 5 years ago.
Later in the month Dan and Greg came to LA for a week. This meant a mandatory trip to Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez was in order. In all about 6 cases of wine were purchased, and many more consumed. The rest of their trip was pretty chill. We went out to a few nice places to eat, and some nights we stayed in playing board games and drinking wine, and catching up on everything going on from back in Wisconsin.
So much fun, I miss them. They both need to move here.
Work has blissfully picked up. I don't recall if I mentioned here that there was another round of layoffs and things were looking very grim. I survived that round too, and now that business has been increasing again I know I will be employed at least to winter!
Simon has been taking advantage of the ridiculously low airfare of late and gone on a few small trips he's wanted to get down. He's in New York on one of his trips now. It feels so empty in the apartment without him.
So now I'm here at home alone on Easter, I think I'll make a little ratatouille for myself.
