As the subject implies, I saw Watchmen last night/this morning - go go midnight showing! I'm almost regretting it today, as I got less than five hours of sleep and had a midterm at 8:45, but... I can't. XD

Cut for SPOILARS AND AWESOME )

OMIGOSH. I've just seen it (like literally just seen it because I'm in an internet cafe after the showing...)
And wow. What an electric movie it was done so beautifully in every regard - you've written everything (and more) that they did so well.

LOLPENIS. I couldn't help but keep thinking 'Jeeez...put some pants on dude!'

Ooooh...yes! Men look far sexier in a well-fitting suit then they do naked (well, usually, but he was very buff (oh la la!) after all!)

And how about the music they used!? Usually for any super hero orientated movie I've seen they've used that ridiculous emo/punk stuff but it was refreshing to have something entirely different (it was also very suitable for the time it was set in too...

And I have to agree with you on the squid - explaining it's presence would have been tedious because then you would have needed the sub-plot about all of the artists, writers and scientists missing - not to mention the appearance of the pirate comic that made up a fair portion of the original comic book (but they did however very nicely put in the news-vendor and the comic book reading kid it a couple of scenes).

My apologies if I've been rambling of for far too long but I think I was still in a state of OMG! last night that I wasn't able to form a coherent reply.

And now I'm going to have to get a little Rorschach action figure. Just 'cuz. XD

The music was beautiful, in my opinion - even Hallaluja! (XD) I got a little teary-eyed when The Sound of Silence started up at Eddie's funeral (of course, it also didn't hurt that it's one of my favorite songs... ;D). 99 Luftbalons was perfect. I really do like how they incorporated the soundtrack.

No apologies needed! Ramble on as long as you want - this movie deserves it! I'm hoping to see it again some time this week~~ Maybe I can catch stuff I missed first time around.

Hee, Rorschach action figure! That is love~

I think the scene that will forever be in my mind after that movie would be the opening one with Bob Dylan's 'Times Are A Changing'.

Lol! That rendition of 99 Luftbalons was so beautiful...but that song will always remind me of Scrubs XD
