IT'S ALL FOR THE LULZ
The only rule is everything (and I do mean everything) is typed in CAPSLOCK. Insanity abounds; nothing is ever taken seriously. When done correctly, in my experience they are the most awesome communities to be a part of. (A particularly wonderful example is capslock_spn, which I tend to think of as the epitome of capslock. XD)
It's a place where your darkest kinks are suddenly the norm. A place where the laws of physics and restrictions of society have no meaning. Anything and everything is fair game! In short, capslock is WIN.
Many people think capslock is annoying and childish ("Why do they insist on yelling?!" "I'M NOT YELLING. I'M JUST EMPLOYING MY INNATE RIGHT TO UTILIZE THAT WONDERFUL BUTTON ON ALL KEYBOARDS.") But I generally consider those people too butthurt to know better at best, and at worst they are completely incapable of doing anything but treating everything like 100% SERIOUS BUSINESS. The one and only goal of capslock (aside from LOLZ, which actually means we have 2 goals, but who really is counting??) is to avoid SRS BSNS at all costs. Live life on the wild side! :D Enjoy it to its fullest! Screw the haters!
