While I love Portman, this movie was not what I thought it was going to be. It was more bloody and sexual than I thought it would be. Her acting in it I thought was wonderful. And the storyline is so mentally taxing that my friend (who I saw it with) and I were still talking afterwards about which parts we thought were real, and which were in her head, and at point that switched.

I thought this was going to be super dumb and pointless, and a little glorifying of evil, when I saw the trailers for it. It actually turned out not to be that bad. I am not planning on buying it, personally. But it's not a horrid movie, and it does have good moral lessons.

Why do I watch these things? These stupid romance/dramas that never have too much creativity to the basic plot. The one thing I like about this film is the same thing I like about "How to make an American Quilt", "Love Actually", and "YaYa", the paralleling storylines, overlapping storylines, and general "LIFE"ness about the human existence.

OK, THIS WAS JUST WEIRD!!! And it is NOT a kid's film! That's all I have to say.

LOVED IT and bought it. Classic American heros, like cowboys and astronauts, a faithful dog, and overall fun and lovable toys (for the most part). A story of friendship and loyalty. A story of pain, and what it can do inside us, and who it can change us into. Very well done, once again, to Pixar.
