So, I haven't gotten to type since the last day of March. Wow, I'm surprised because it feels like April has lasted forever and is never going to end.
Well, my son came back from his time with his dad (the last half of spring break). He told me about riding horses up at his Nanna and Poppa's house. He's earned his horse back riding belt loop for that. Then, on April 7th, my son got to be honored at an awards show. I think I blogged about the photo my son took, that got to move on to the next level. Well, we actually got a postcard in the mail telling us that it had gone to the district level, and won, and he was getting an award. Well, at the ceremony that night we learned for the first time that he actually was the highest for photography at the district level, and had gone on to compete at States. I learned later, from his principal, that he was the first ever from his school to go on to the State level. *SUPER BIG GRIN*!!!! I'm such a proud mommy. And I was glad to see that his father, step-mother, and baby sister (who's also in the photo) came to the awards ceremony.
Then, the very next day was the day I threw the Pack meeting. It went off very well, all in all. A few families who said they'd come didn't. And one family showed with stuff that didn't RSVP. But, over all, people had fun and thanked me, and many said they'd like us to do it again. My son liked getting in his kilt. I tell you, a kilt with a uniform top, he was looking good! ;) And though it all turned out ok, I'm not not not being the permanent cubmaster.
Since then April has been me catching up on things, like doc apts, and phone calls, and faxes, and applications, and e-mails, and on, and on, and on. So, the month has seemed very slow
