I had a nice, long holiday and now I guess I have to post it before I totally forget. Why can't the computer just write down my thoughts? I'll separate it into three posts, since there was so much going on.
( Denver:> B and I arrived a day later than scheduled because 600 miles (about 2 hours)into the flight the pilot announces on the loudspeaker that we have to turn back because of some electrical issue. This wouldn't have been so bad, but it was a red-eye flight. I suspect that more than half of the people were asleep when that announcement was made. I can imagine their shock at waking up and ending up right back where they started.
B's parents picked us up and drove us to B's sis's house where he, the kids and I would be staying for a couple of days before we, B's parents, his sis and her family all headed out to Disney World on Sat. I took a much needed nap while B, the kids and his parents went to lunch.
That night the family had dinner at Buck Horn Exchange for B's birthday. There were heads of animals mounted all along the wall.Everyone shared fried alligator tails and some kind of dip made out of rattle snake. B's nieces loved the gator tail, but I prefered the rattle snake dip. There was lamb on the menu, but I don't like the way the west prepares it because of the gamey flavor. So I went with the trio of quale, ostrage, and elk. I loved the quale at this Thai place in Pearl city, but didn't care for it that night. the elk was good, but I loved the ostrage, with it's slightly sweet flavor. I was surprised it tasted more like a very lean red meat rather than a bird. Tried some of b's buffalo and yak. I didn't like the buffalo at all, while the yak was pretty good.
The next morning B, the kids, and I went to visit B's maternal grandmother. then it was home to get ready for the BBQ at his parents house. On our way over we got caught in a hail storm. Everyone was afraid the party would have to be cancelled, but the weather cleared up nicely. Some of b's classmates, whom he hadn't seen since he left Colorado were there. I met two women from his high school and a male college friend who came with his wife.
Early the next morning we left for orlando.

I went to bed around 8:30 and woke up about an hour later. I lay in bed reading--sometimes that helps me fall asleep. No luck. So I figured I'd update. As far as the party goes, I've only got 16 confirmations out of the 38 I've invited and eight of that number has to come, since they are family and myself. My first day of classes started off pretty good. I got picked up right on time and was taken straight there, which took only 20 mins. I figured since I got there so early, I'd tried to make it to the 11:30 hist class I was unable to register for--it had filled up two days after prereg started. This was the first summer I didn't take any classes since the beginning of my long college career. Felt V nice not having to worry about doing work for school. We had also started to include Nat in our luncheons (not club) though she did come to our May fun day. The girls introduced me to on line text based games. Was V addicted for a month or so. There really isn't much going on right now, so I will write about my holiday. I have so much to write about. It will take me a while to finish what I did during my holiday to Kauai. It has been a little while since I have written something. Surprisingly, I got straight A's last semester. I hope I can do it again this semester, since I am taking 2 honors classes at the same time, plus my Spanish. I must like to torture myself. I don't know if I said we went to Vegas for Xmas or not.
