It finally seems like December!

Yesterday morning Quinn looked out the window and told us that he saw snow. I asked him if it was really just frost on the ground, but he was quite insistent - "it's snowing!" I'd been up 30 minutes before and hadn't seen anything so I was a little surprised, but sure enough, he finally moved the curtain over so I could see (usually he just sneaks right in behind the curtain so it's still closed) and it was snowing! Yay! Well, it didn't amount to much, but enough for Quinn and I to go out to play (even though he's got a miserable cold, I wasn't going to miss the opportunity because I suspect it will be mostly gone by tomorrow). He protested the idea of putting on mittens until it finally was time to actually put them on and then he submitted with no problem. I was pretty surprised but took the gift! It's so nice on those rare occasions when I don't have to try to think of new ways to get him to do something... that's one of the joys of having a 2-year old, I guess. So we built a snowman (which he made me run into the house to get a carrot for the nose) and took a walk around our neighborhood so that he could jump in all the puddles (the sun was melting all the snow on pavement so the sidewalk was prime puddle territory). I wish I was more up to playing in the snow with him, but at least I could do a little bit. I'm just so excited that he wants to play in the snow this year - last year he was quite unconvinced that he should be out in it at all. So for those of you who like snow - I hope you get some! And for those of you who don't - :-P""""""""""""

:) Happy December!
