trip to NYC cancelled due to murkiness of sky

It is BLAZING sunny out there today.

Halfway across the country am i & it turns out my roommate & i were swim-team-foes in highschool. See, MHS is totally the best swim team ever, so much so that i hated it with passion and quit in a fit of rage during the first practise senior year. But that is another story, the point here being that SPASH was pretty much MHS' only competition back in the day, and now between the two of us the only cheer we can remember is MHS' worst. That's probably a good thing, they were all pretty annoying.

This got brought up because the pool here is only a block away, and with no cars all the out-of-state people have resorted to such healthy activities as swimming. This weekend has been a lovely comedy of errors, given that the five of us, with a large campus all to ourselves, really have nothing to do. Luckily we got a tv/dvd player on Thursday, and have since watched i heart huckabee's, Garden State, Ice Age, and the Notebook. Most of the other movies we have are also in the children's/sappygirlmovie categories, so i'm not sure how long this will keep me amused; however i heart huckabee's was awesome & i'm sure i could do that again. Repeatedly if needed. The Notebook, for all its silly romance, led to a long conversation on Southern Vengence and Northern Boringness. Louisville Boy is hard to believe.

That's the news in New Jersey today. Perhaps i expanded my inherited Northern Boringness into this Eastern state, or maybe this weekend will really never end.
