Wow; it's amazing how quickly the week goes by when you're working full-time! I worked Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and today...have tomorrow off...work Friday, then have the weekend off. Sometimes I don't mind my job at all, and other times I'm much less than thrilled about it. Eh. I had to work at 6am Monday morning and this morning, and I could definitely do without that. I have the same shift twice next week, too. Bummer.
So, the CEO of Target came in today with some reporters from the Wall Street Journal. They were all dressed to the nines, talking fancy, and severely intimidating. I ducked out of sight as much as possible. Then some more people from corporate came by a little later. I thought it was going to be a very stressful day, considering the visits, but it wasn't too bad. The best part is that after lunch, I got to do training modules online for the rest of my shift...and some of them are written very poorly, and some of the quizzes had obvious glitches in wording...one question didn't have ANY right answers below it, because of how they were worded, yet the quiz insisted that one of them was the correct answer. It definitely brought out the editor/proofreader in me and made me wish I had a writing job. Haha. I'm kind of annoyed that they just got me started on the training modules today, though, since this is my third week there and I've already been doing a lot of what I'm now learning...and floundering through it because I had no idea about how the labeling system works.
Aaaanyway. I took a three-hour nap after I got home from work and now I'm getting tired again. I think I'll head to sleep soon. Rachel, Kevin, and I walked to a little family restaurant just down the street and had dinner there tonight. They have a HUGE menu, serve breakfast all day, and the service and food was great! We'll be going there quite often, I'm sure.
I have a few goals for my day off tomorrow (this will serve as my checklist since I'll probably forget: open a savings/checking account at a credit union nearby (probably Blackhawk Community CU), return shirts to Wal*Mart, buy another pair of pants for work, get groceries, maaaybe get a hair cut?
I can't decide if I want to cut my hair of not. I'm sick of it being in my face at work, and not being able to do much with it...and I haven't cut it since January, so it's at an awkward point. I've been thinking about a short hair cut for a LONG time, but have just recently started wussing out. Mostly I'm just afraid of trusting a stylist I don't know...I wish I could go home so my aunt could cut it for me!
