I'm pretty happy with myself right now. After making tuna salad at Jimmy John's a few times now, each time saying that I think it'd be fabulous without the mayo, I decided yesterday to buy the ingredients and make some myself, since I'll never get to try it sans-mayo at work.
I just mixed it up with the special secret ingredient and, just as I suspected, I like it a lot! I never used to really like tuna fish, except for when my dad made his tuna patties with lemon juice and other yummy seasonings. And usually, when something has tuna, it also has mayo, so it's a no-go for me.
I'm eating the salad on these rye crispbread crackers I bought yesterday, and it's a good combination! Hooray; I have figured out a good meal to bring to campus with me for my long days this semester.
I guess this SORT OF makes up for the fact that I was called off of work today. Boo!
But I am pretty excited about tonight: The company Craig (my cousin's husband -- I live with them now) works for is renting a suite at Fifth Third Ballpark tonight for a West Michigan Whitecaps game, and even after all the families, they had an extra ticket for me! It'll be my first real ballpark experience, and it's in a SUITE! :) I think that's pretty sweet -- pardon the pun. :) I'm sure I'll take some pictures of the game and the family and the suite.
Also: I'm also going to be writing more in my
Blogger since I plan to share that with more friends who don't do LiveJournal. I'll probably write stuff there that I don't write here, and vice versa. In case you're interested, I just posted a brief description of the travelling I did in the U.P. back in June at the Blogger.
Also, my kid cousins love anime, and I do not. Hence I am not watching TV with them right now. :D
