"I can't believe your head exploded; if your head explodes you'll never make it as a doctor. I mean come on, you look ridiculous." - Dr. Cox
Right now I kind of feel like exploding, except I think my body's too tired. It's only week two of the semester, I haven't even started my hours at the writing center yet, and I'm already dead tired. I still have to work on the bedtime at 11 during the week thing.
Yesterday, I got to paint on a canvas for the first time ever during a workshop for my Poetry and Painting class. Granted, it mostly resembles the work of a 1st grader, but I'm proud none-the-less. What I'm most proud of is that I stretched and prepared my own 12x16" canvas! I'm not sure whether I'll use that next or wait til I have a really good idea. I have a goal of making one painting and writing one poem that I'm really proud of in this class. If everything else I do is crap, it'll be quite alright with me. I just want to create something I'd want my mom to hang on the wall at home. :)
My room is a disaster. I clean it, then trash it within a day or two. My computer desk gets cleared, then cluttered. Grr.
I think I'll be going to sleep before 11 for the second night in a row, ON THE WEEKEND. Boo. I'm probably not going to have a life this semester.
Crap...I just realized my day tomorrow isn't going to be at all how I expected it. There's no 6pm service at Mars Hill, and I have a Fishladder meeting from 8-9. So NOW I think I'll maybe go to the 11am, bum around til I work at the Writing Center at 3 (maybe study up on what my job entails, since I feel like it's been so long since my last consultation), then stick around campus and do my Greek homework, eat dinner, and possibly work out between 5 and 8.
I want to get a new cell phone service/plan by the end of the month. I'm thinking I should stick with Verizon or switch to Alltel since I know they work in the U.P. Any suggestions?
I think I might tidy up a little then fall asleep to X-Files once again.
