"......okay, who found that totally hot?" Raynie, asked, blinking her mako blue eyes. Roxas looked at the fist fighter, as if she went completely insane. Rena blinked in confusion, unsure by the question. She raised a hand, still unaware of what Raynie meant. "THANK YOU! At least SOMEBODY can agree with me!"
"Oh jesus...Rena, it's not a GOOD thing. Adyn's a Heartless! BAD! NOT HOT!"
"IT'S VERY HOT! AND APPEALING!"
"IT'S NOT!" Roxas yelled, angry that somebody would take a liking to a Heartless. It was like loving a Nobody; practically wrong and unconditional. Adyn smirked from up high, his devil tail hanging from the tree branch. He could hear Raynie's heart pounding from all the way up away from the ground. He sniffed the air, the scent of her teenage heart beating faster and faster. He almost lost his gripping against the tree, which would have been horrible. He was trying to get close to them, without being in their presence. Roxas looked toward where Adyn was hiding and immediatly got his Keyblade out. Adyn saw him and jumped to another tree, the branch wobbling from his leap. "Well Raynie... Mr. Hot-to-Trot is here."
"OH REALLY!?" Raynie asked, her eyes forming anime-like hearts. Adyn hopped to the ground, landing on all fours. He stood up slowly, his head leaning back. His fangs glistened in the dim light coming from the street lights along the road. His black eye stood out, making Raynie flinch nervously. He cracked his neck and giggled.
"Hello there! My my my, am I hungry. Would you care to let me eat your hearts, young ones? Or...will you put up a FIGHT!?"
"Won't you quit!?"
"NO! Adyn...maybe...I could help? You're not gettin' MY heart, that's for sure. But..."
"Oh, out of LOVE?"
"Huh!?"
"Or are you just "considerate"? Raynie, listen...I don't have the HEART to listen to you. All I want is somethin' to eat. Not time for a young GIRL to be my "soulmate"." Adyn replied bluntly, crossing his arms. He narrowed his eyes, his glowing golden one searching Raynie's heart. He watched it practically collapse inside, which only made him grin. Her heart was surely weak, and it'd be easier for him to get to her. "Oh, doll, I'm only kidding...."
"STOP TOYIN' WITH MEH!"
"Who's toying with you? Whoever it is...allow me to take the pleasure of stealing their heart..." Adyn whispered slyly, suddenly right behind Raynie. She stiffened, his voice as slick as a snake. It sent chills down her spine, especially when he grabbed a hold of her. She looked down at his hand, looking at how sharp the fingers were. She was thankful the tentacle like black mist didn't get on her fighting suit. Adyn smirked, Roxas infuriated that a Heartless was getting close to one of them.
"Listen, ADYN, you hurt her, I SWEAR."
"What, you love her?"
"NO! I'm PROTECTING her from....BASTARDS like you!"
"Oh, suddenly I'm nothing, is that it? Well, at least I'm thought of SOMETHING by your precious fist fighter."
"YOU HAVE NO HEART! HOW CAN YOU THINK OF YOURSELF AS SOMETHING!?"
"Nii-san! What's goin' on!? Why's Adyn all freakeh?!" Rena asked loudly, her thumb in her mouth. She held the Keyblade in her free hand, unsure if she would have to fight or not. Roxas turned around and stepped in front of Rena, incase Adyn tried anything sneaky. He didn't, yet he let go of Raynie and walked away, his back turned to them. Roxas quickly and quietly snuck up to Adyn from behind, yet was suddenly surprised by the strong hand over his neck. "ROKU-KUN!"
"You think I'm stupid? I think NOT." Adyn growled, his fangs grinding against each other. He dropped Roxas and dashed off, spotting a weak-minded human not far off. Raynie watched in the distance, Rena tending to Roxas. Raynie looked away right when Adyn sliced through the person, the blood gushing out. He laughed loudly, making them all look. They turned their heads, disgusted at the sight. Adyn smirked and grabbed the heart out, his eyes hungry. He bit into it, the heart still beating. The noise was sickening in the night air, filling their minds with noise as it repeated over and over again. Adyn wiped his mouth and walked over to them.
"You....DISGUSTING PIG!"
"KEKEKEKEKEKE! Oh, do I sicken thee? Do I taste of sour and not sweet? I'm SOOOO very sorry. Well, not really!"
"Adyn....why?"
"Oh, stopped callin' meh 'Goth' kid?! Goodie! Well, why is a VERY good question, Raynie! But that shall never be answered. It's a part of Destiny, that's all I know! And I know that hearts are sure as hell delicious!" Adyn cackled, dancing a little. Roxas stood up quickly, swinging the Keyblade at Adyn. He blocked it with his hand, the black tentacle like stuff grabbing a hold of the Keyblade. "I'm FULL of tricks."
"WHAT!?" Roxas asked, knowing he wouldn't get an answer. He tried tugging back on it, but it was swiped clean out of his firm grasp, chucked into the air. Adyn gently grabbed Roxas's chin, pulling him in closely. He searched his eyes, and when he saw no trace of a human heart, he let go. He shrugged his small shoulders and went back over to Raynie, holding her tightly.
"I think I'll take YOU."
"HUH!? Take me WHERE!?"
"No place in particular, I just think you can do BETTER than them!" Adyn cackled, letting go. He looked at Raynie, his evil appearance almost disappearing for a split second. His face curled into an emotionless expression, like he was never evil to begin with. He placed his hands on her shoulders and kissed her gently, almost stealing her breath. He let go and took off, yet again, but he wasn't coming back. Raynie blinked, unsure of what the hell just happened. He was evil one second, then not another.
"What...just happened..."
"Change of heart?"
"Rena, he doesn't HAVE a heart."
"Ohhh...." Rena whispered absent-mindedly, smiling. Roxas gripped the Keyblade and dashed off after Adyn, angry with him for toying with everyone's hearts. He caught up to the young Heartless quickly, confused at why he looked so sad. Adyn turned around to face him, his eyes expressionless. He wasn't maniacal for the time being, and Roxas hoped he could talk to him while he was sane.
"You--"
"Roxas...I'm...sorry....stop me, please?" Adyn whispered, his voice going back to his "normal" self. Roxas's eyes widened, an eyebrow raised. He didn't understand what he meant, nor did he have an idea why he had such a mood swing. (His first instinct was PMS, but that was unlikely.) Adyn reached out for him, the black mist almost hitting him. Roxas flinched, but accepted the hand, almost dragged near him. Adyn rested his head on Roxas's shoulder, his tail wrapping around his leg. Roxas blushed, not sure what he was doing. "Do me a favor..."
"What are you doing!?"
"Promise me you'll do something for me?"
"Uh...sure..."
"Tell Raynie and Rena I'm sorry. And....kill me."
"Wait. WHAT!?"
"I said...kill me. I'm...a Heartless, right?"
"Yeah, but..."
"Then it's your duty as Keybearer to get rid of Heartless. So kill me!" Adyn demanded, looking at Roxas. His eyes creeped Roxas out, especially when he was begging for death. His 'heart' pounded in his chest as Adyn begged for death, holding onto Roxas as well. He leaned his head back on Roxas's shoulder, staring out into space. "Is it easier if you don't see my eyes and kill me?"
"I...guess?" Roxas questioned. Adyn nodded, his face rubbing against Roxas's shoulder. A chill went through him again as he aimed the Keyblade in the back of Adyn. A bead of sweat formed on his face as he stared at the boy, watching his tail swish from side to side. He just couldn't do it, yet he couldn't dissappoint the boy, neither. He lowered the Keyblade and pushed Adyn off. "I'm not going to kill you."
"YOU HAVE TO! You were so angry with me! YOU NEED TO! I MIGHT KILL EVERYBODY!"
"You can't kill EVERYBODY."
"I might! You never know! PLEASE, ROXAS!"
"NO! I'm NOT!" Roxas hollered, tensing up. Adyn blinked and turned his head, his tail wagging slowly. Adyn didn't like his being, nor did he like it when he was not "himself". He turned away from Roxas, looking at the sky. "I wouldn't kill...somebody I loved..."
"Maybe you should stop loving."
