It's a big country after all ... with lots of industrial chemical pollution going on. Is it any wonder then, that something this cute (yet oh so creepy) would come out of China?
(Or is this kitty China's answer to Korea's glow-in-the-dark puppies...?)
Anyway, I actually doodled for a good cause for a change. *gasp* (I'm always doing a mindless fanart these days...lol Hey, nothing wrong with "art as an escape". XD) Participating in a lineart contest over at dA. Just decided to enter (Because the total number of participants were rather small, therefore my odd was better... No, seriously, the theme "impaired" gave me no instant idea whatsoever, so I decided maybe it would be a good "challenge" for me, and besides, it was for a charity organization for homeless and disadvantaged youths, so it had that pull, too.) just 2 days ago and agonized over very few ideas that did pop up in my mind and felt utterly and completely inadequate (which is... pretty much most of the time when I do things like this. lol). Anyway, I've never attempted graffiti, yet I decide to incorporate that into the image -- heh, the audacity of it all... the nerve. But it's all for the good cause! Seriously, the contest organizers are donating $2 per entry. So even if I don't win a prize or honorable mention or any of that, I've donated to a cause -- however small it may be. It's a win-win situation and anything that makes me feel positive, I gravitate towards it. XD
I have no immediate plan to color this piece. (Although it is possible that I might get inspired to do so.) Next project is the "Ranmao and Lau Tango".
