Kuroshitsuji ep. 21 (spoiler alert)

Hmmm, a decidedly less dramatic episode after the excitement of ep. 20. It's all about the true identities of the "ever not so helpful" helpers at the Phantomhive estate. ( Spoiler plus pics of Meirin without glasses XD )

I am highly amused that in coming up with a total anime-based filler backstory for the estate servants, they managed to slot Meirin into one of my favorite character types ever. I adore lady snipers, and they are so hard to find in fiction!

(On a serious note, I really have been curious about Tanaka for a while now, because in the manga he seems to have been around before the fire and deaths of Ciel's parents. Is the one hanging around now the same one? Or...?)

It's nice being able to be so unconcerned with what happens in the anime, since the manga will of course end up contradicting it entirely--I can be excited about what's going to happen without worrying that they'll mess up the 'real' ending.

I just don't understand how some people are so upset about anime not following the manga. I like it better when they just go completely differently rather than tweaked just a little to annoy you. So I don't mind this having only 26 episodes of its own story. Long series definitely has its share of cons.

Yeah, that Tanaka-san is a mystery man.

Oooo, Milla!!!!! (I just love her!!! XD)

I admit to liking the manga better in some ways--I think the pacing is better, and some of the art and humor doesn't translate as well to animation. But the anime is enjoyable in its own right and I certainly don't regret the time I've spent watching it. (I've never been fond of this attitude that if you like one format you must LOATHE the other. Some fandoms can awfully vicious about that.)

Millaaaaaa! *swoon* I wish she'd star in another movie soon; I miss seeing her on-screen.

You know, what I like most about the anime version is the voice of Sebastian. XDD Chocolatey smooth and sweet...in all that 'keigo' (Alas, there's no way to translate that into English...) speak! *melts* (When they make an English dub for DVD, I hope they at least find someone that sounds like the Japanese voice actor.)

Hubby and I were just watching "The Fifth Element" last night. And we have all the "Resident Evil" DVDs, too. Although he wouldn't admit, judging from our movie collection, I'd say he has a thing for her. But then again, I'd go ghey for Milla, too. XD
