I am going to try it again, posting a photo for each day. I did it last year when I saw that
curiouswombat had started one. I made it from March to August, and then life happened. I'm going to try again, and sometimes the photos will be daily and sometimes there will be several in one post to make up for days missed.
As you all know by now, my life is pretty limited so I have little to take photos of. That being said, I'm still going to do this. I've already posted a photo every day since January first, so it's a good time to start. Hopefully it won't bore you to tears!
This is Teresa, my other wonderful personal care assistant (CNA) who takes care of me and the house very well. She is here 4 hours a day, three days a week. She alternates with Ashley, whose photo I have shown you here already.
This is a Red-Bellied Woodpecker (male, though the female visited the feeder today as well), about 9 and a half inches in size. I like these birds because both the male and the female build the nest, incubate the eggs, and feed the offspring that are born each year. Great teamwork! Only one brood per year. It has a really pretty "zebra" black and white stripes on the back, and a reddish/tan belly. Brilliant red head!
The smaller bird seems to be either a Purple Finch (female) or a Song Sparrow, of which we have many around our house. It's hard to tell at the distance from which this was taken. Not bad, considering it is a long way from the front door to the feeder, and the photo was taken through TWO dirty glass doors!
