This is what my husband
teacher-bear said in my comments: "Saturday Morning Update:
K will post later as when we got home from the hospital at 9:45 last night we found we were in the middle of a tornado warning which was coming right through our town. There was a doozy of a storm going on so we turned the computers off.
The ER doc says it is very mild MRSA (what does that mean?) but that if it was seriously in her lungs at full strength she would be an EXTREMELY SICK WOMAN and we would have been at the ER a long time ago. So she is on a different antibiotic, steroids and waiting on the results of blood and sputum cultures. Thank God she is home and not in the hospital."
I so wish that I had gone to a different hospital last night. A "mild case of MRSA??" Please.
If I start feeling badly, I'm going to a different hospital.
To see what happened yesterday, go to Bear's journal at
teacher_bear *** JUST EDITED: They can't possibly know if I have MRSA yet (or still) because they took blood that went into small whiskey bottle-looking things for tests, and there are other tests that won't be back until tomorrow night. MRSA isn't quickly diagnosed, but has to be grown in the lab. I obviously had it nine days ago...
THIS IS ALL SUCH A CONUNDRUM!
