Update on me

Jan 14, 2009 16:04

I truly thank you all who have prayed and sent positive thoughts or whatever you did to help. I am so very grateful. I am feeling much better now. I think the crisis is over, or nearly over, and I am going to be able to avoid the hospital. My blood sugar (fasting) yesterday was 259 but today was 208. Still way too high, but at least it is coming down.

We got snow last night and it is once again so pretty here. It didn't get over 34 degrees so the snow didn't melt. Now it is going to drop very drastically tonight. We are due to get more snow tonight before we go into single digits. The school is on two-hour delay for the next two days, definitely. So glad that they made that decision already, so Bear won't be worrying and wondering.

Had that terrible sleep hit me again today, as I didn't think it was wise to take the Provigil yet, as it acts like speed and my heart got quite a workout the last two or three days. My heart rate was 82 today, before breakfast. That's still pretty high for me, but certainly MUCH better than being in the 100's!

I've developed a very bad pain in my left shoulder and shoulder blade. It kept me up last night despite taking a Vicodin (hydrocodone). At least it helped me to finish the book I was reading, Grave Sight by Charlaine Harris. I really liked it. But this pain, not so much. It must be arthritis in the joints there. Like a toothache in my shoulder and shoulder blade.

I have a book cover order to finish today, and a book review to write. I also have to really get in gear to be able to finish Emmie's Virginia Tech quilt. I've felt so ill for so long that I haven't been able to do it. And oh yeah, I need to work on my novel!

For being a stay at home disabled woman, I sure am busy!

book covers, snow, quilts, ill
