I am exhausted today and all my muscles are screaming in pain. Yesterday we drove to Kingsport, TN again, for me to see the Rheumatologist Phys. Assistant. She is such a great caregiver! She wrote a script for me to take for the sinus infection that reared its ugly (and I do mean UGLY) head again.
I got two steroid shots in my knees, which should help the bad pain I've been feeling despite the high doses of painkiller I'm on.
She also gave me something to try for the narcolepsy that has been plaguing me every day for the past few weeks.I tried the medication before, once, and hated how it made me feel so she told me to take 1/4th of a pill and see if it helps. She was also upset that I don't have my ramp yet and said it was vital for my mental health and wellbeing that I get it. Yeah, well.... $15,000 is hard to come by. We do have over $700 raised so far, including money we have put into the kitty as well.
It was a beautiful drive (2 hrs) there, but was dark when we came home. We ended up going to see a movie while we were there because I read the book and loved it. THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES was the book and the movie, and it was absolutely excellent. VERY close to the book, and beautifully photographed, written, and acted. I recommend it highly. It was especially poignant as it was set in 1964 when the "negroes" got the vote. Just an excellent movie.
We had a wonderful time talking together on the way home, which makes the trip even more enjoyable. We do that every time we get away from home-- we talk and talk, and I love it. Bear loves it too, as he told me so last night.
When we got home, the house was in order! Praise GOD for that! Bella, who we have had with us for six months now, is house trained to go outside but if she can't hold it, she can use a puppy pad. She never has accidents off the pad now. When we got home, she was so happy to see us that she just let all her pee go on the mat by the door. We were amazed... she had held it for 8 hours! Poor little thing, waiting so long! What a good girl! And Spencer, of course, was extremely anxious to get outside but never has accidents.
I'm frustrated because I haven't written anything on my novel in two days, and I am afraid I'm stuck. I guess I just have to DO it and see where it takes me.
Emmie spent the night with us for the first time since she moved out, and she loved it. We enjoyed having her, too. She told us that she is starting to like being over there, but misses being at home, too. We told her that was normal, and it was perfectly OK to enjoy being there as well as here. It's so hard for her...
Off to make more book covers, and then hopefully, to write something, anything, in my novel.
