OOC // A short character description
Almost everything about Shiki can be described as “normal guy in school”. He lives day by day, relishing the now as opposed to worrying about the future. But he’s still full of contradictions. On one hand, Shiki can be a very selfless, hard worker. He assists Ciel despite not knowing her at the time, he feels ashamed when his maids do his chores for him, and he continues to assist Arcueid even after their “deal” had expired. On the other hand, Shiki can be lazy. He loves warm days and sleeping on warm grass. He tends to stay out late and sleep in late, much to the chagrin of his sister.
Shiki can also be quite a massive idiot at times too. This is heavily evidenced by the fact that Shiki can barely follow what Sion is saying or not knowing what a Christian is (“Chris-chan? Who is that?”). On the complete opposite side, Shiki actually is very, very smart. He scores above most of the students in his grade and is shooting to attend a university. Not only that but he is very literate and is familiar with more than a few excessively long words. For Shiki, picking and choosing various situations as to whether he knows something or doesn’t know something is entirely random.
One thing that does stay consistent for Shiki is his dislike of things that stray from common sense. When things start to escape those boundaries, he tends to become frustrated and edgy. Then he starts to spout insults like “stupid”, “idiot”, or “moron”. If things start to go too far, he’ll resort to yelling in someone’s ear.
Regarding Shiki and girls. Upon first meeting a girl, Shiki is often overly nice and complimentary. This can easily be construed as flirting by the other party and is probably what impresses the ladies but Shiki is, in fact, only being nice. He’s not trying to get laid. As he comes to know girls better, he starts to dip into his other personality traits as listed above. AN IMPORTANT FACT TO NOTE: If ever fighting a girl, unless it’s serious fucking business, Shiki will lose the fight. Badly. For some reason, he just can’t canonly win in humorous situations against girls.
Speaking of fighting, another side of Shiki is his inherent assassin side. This does not rule his life in the slightest but it does give him impulses to kill. Shiki, however, has learned to acknowledge that side of himself and can easily keep it under wraps. The only time Shiki goes “full on assassin” is when he is on the verge of getting killed. For everything else, he has learned how to use his own skills to their fullest efficiency without killing, unlike his assassin side which looks at killing as if it’s just a mechanical job.
As for other females in the series, this is how Shiki treats them, disregarding any LOVE LOVE situations
