Synesthesia

So I realized today I totally have time-space synasthesia. This accounts for my crazy-good memory (like I can remember things from when I was 2) and my good sense of direction too, I suppose. I always get mad at people that have a poor sense of direction and get lost, but I realize their brains don't work the same way. I picture the yearly calendar, weekly calendar, time throughout the day, alphabet, number line, years, and probably other things very visually in my head in a specific way that doesn't change, but I can move through it. Like today is Friday, so I'm on the Friday spot and the other days are relative to it. I thought everybody did this. I guess not!

"Time-space synaesthesia is a form of visuo-spatial synaesthesia in which individuals experience units of time - such as hours, days, or months - as occupying specific locations in space relative to their own body."

It's very weird. A lot of them I picture in a black space, like outer space or something, especially the number line and letters.

My calendar starts with January, goes down to September in a straight line, that curves up counterclockwise back up to January, so it's rather skewed, but it makes sense in my head.

I picture the alphabet always left to right

numbers I picture bottom to top, 1 starting at the bottom. I think this is why I was always just average at arithmetic. I would picture the differences between the numbers in subtraction and addition, rather than memorizing.

I picture the years going backwards in time from top-left to bottom-rightish. at 1900, a new row starts, and at each new century, a new row starts. when i'm thinking of the future, I turn and look up the line, and when I'm thinking of the past, I turn and look down the line.

I picture the week Sunday through Saturday, left to right, but then saturday somehow loops back around and touches the next sunday.

time goes throughout the day bottom-left to top-right, it just keeps going as in infinite line and never loops back around. At night, sometimes I just picture the time going up a straight line.

I want to draw pictures of all these, especially my calendar!
