Found It.
I'll be working for over the summer in California at a place called Splash Cafe that's owned by this woman named Eve and her husband. She used to be my teacher in 4th grade and offered me free room and board to stay at her house in her daughter's room (Juliet won't be there over the summer). Eve co-taught with my mom, who was also my teacher from 2nd-5th grade, so I've known her for awhile. My mom and Eve obviously still remain good friends.
Yesterday I got an email from her in which she informed me that she just finished writing a children's book...
And wants me to design the cover. And do a few line drawings in the book.
*So excited over here.*
Eve is amazing. She used to make up stories and tell it to my class. Very new-agey and hippy. I love her.
This is a pretty big deal to say the least. It might not work out, but the fact that I'll have the chance to do something huge like this...
Exactly the motivation I need to finish this year out strong.
