Another busy Wednesday over and done with-!!
Got another watercolor and some super-quick sketches~
Oh, oh, also!!! A student introduced me to this super-cool app/flash thing that shows what happens to a person's face when they make an expression, it seems SUPER-useful for artists so I'm linking it here, it's gonna help me out for sure-!!! http://www.grimace-project.net/
We got to go out and paint on location today (with a model), it was a lot of fun and super-soothing, ah!!
Her face is pretty bad but that one light part of her sweater turned out nice, hahaha.
And then just more of the character sketches... just a few tiny touch-ups to Bai...
These are just the super-rough designs for her bff/gf Qing (the green snake) and the human dude, he's probably just some wimpy scholar though hahaha
And super-fast concept sketches; Bai basically gets imprisoned in this tower (maybe just a regular ol' pagoda, who knows haha) by this monk who just wants to banish spirits and stuff. Got the feedback to think about what cool animal to base him off of--maybe a crane-!! (In the original story he's a turtle but I think it'll be fun to really play with that~)
Anyway, that's all for tonight, felt pretty good and productive but gonna go pass out now lol 'night~
