Last night's Watership Down event was a huge success. The book discussion started out with only about four people but steadily grew to around a dozen during the hour. No mind-blowing literary revelations, but was nice to see a bunch of different kinds of people all show up because they had some sort of fondness of a novel. There was also a plot controversy in which two attendees skimmed through copies of the book as sort of a race to discern whose memory was correct.

By the time the screening commenced, there were around 25 people in attendance, which is also pretty good for a random weeknight thing. It was my first time seeing the entire movie, and I enjoyed it, even if some parts I liked from the book were left out. I mean, it's always like that.

The evening was hosted by the Morning Glory Coffee House, who have recently announced that they're closing in November. Anyone want to buy a coffee shop or run a vegan restaurant in Pittsburgh?
