It's kinda apocalyptic...
Things are chaotic here. Cities has been flooded for a while because of the continuous, persistent heavy rain.
And of course, on top of that, the Merapi volcano erupted. There were also the Padang tsunami and lots of earthquakes, many people were killed. Man what's happening to Indonesia?
From what I've heard, some Aussie tourists were caught in the tsunami. I'm so relieved that my friend from TT wasn't visiting the Mentawai islands (they're in Padang)! She loves surfing so much and she had a plan to try Mentawai waves +_+
But today, the weather is significantly better, maybe it was someone's doing? Many people here believe that rains can be warded off by magicians(?) called pawang hujan. I don't know the process or if it works at all, maybe they made teru teru bozu dolls? ^^; There are so many people who believe in magic here. Maybe I'm one of them, since today's lack of rain made me think of pawang hujan... :p
I guess I'm lucky enough not to live right in the big & overcrowded city, but the clients live there, so we still have to go there for meetings etc. They don't believe in video conferences... :(
I'm not the praying type, but I really hope things will get better soon >_<
Strangely, all these made me think of Stonehenge Apocalypse, where they flattened Indonesia because some pyramid on my island exploded T-T Watching that was really weird...
