Can you believe the last time I did an exclusively Julie Andrews themed picspam was in January? So here I am trying to remedy that when, in fact, I should be writing my final paper. But I worked almost non-stop in the past couple of days, I need a break, right? Right! So, here we go.
VICTOR/VICTORIA
01-11
Naturally, about half of this picspam is dedicated to the 1982 movie Victor/Victoria. This comes handy because I so very rarely picspam this movie although it's one of my favorite works of Julie's. I consider Julie Andrews a beautiful woman, both inside and outside. But I'll say it, I don't find her attractive in this at all -- except for the very end. Still, she was phenomenal and should have gotten an Oscar for it. Except, you know, it went to Meryl Streep. Out of all her misses, she had to score THAT year. >_> ( ♥ you, Meryl lol)
This pic above is fun. Dressed as a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman. Ultimate cross-dressing stunt, y/y?
12. One Step Into Spring... and into her cross-dressing world. :D This is really hot, actually.
13. The Burlington Bertie number from Star! Seriously, she is phenomenal here.
14. Oh it's a lovely war! segment from Star. Yes, it is as funny as it looks on the picture.
15. Dressed as a redhead drunken sailor. The universe of this woman is so much fun. And broad. :D
16. British-to-the-core, self-confessed-sucker-of-accents Julie Andrews dressed as a cowboy from Big D, Texas.
17. Wait, let's take a look at that again...
18. And now you shall laugh. Or better yet,
WATCH IT. It's one of the best things in the world. I love Julie's humor tremendously. That humor becomes evident if you see how well she (and Carol, of course) execute this hilarious idea.
19. Julie reprising the Bertie routine on The Julie Andrews Hour.
20. Ah, I have no words. LOL. If Julie's face on the right wasn't enough, all I need is a look at Alice Ghostley on the left and I'm a goner.
21. Julie looking very pretty and... yellow. And bewildered. But most of all, yellow.
22. Yes that IS Julie Andrews on the right. :D
23. Julie as Pinocchio! :D So not only did she go for cross-dressing, but she dressed as a guy made out of wood. Top that!
24. Okay well, this tops that. The Julie Andrews Show from 1965, which was a special with Gene Kelly. One of Julie's ancestors, played by Julie. It almost looks photoshopped lmao.
25. This is pretty mild compared to the others above but I guess this really takes us back to the roots and where it might have started. Very early 60's lol. That and she looks so adorable and this was a good excuse to use this pic.
