Furthermore....
Further to this post about the Log Driver's Waltz: First of all, most of my grade 3s got over any hesitancy over singing the song very quickly, partly because they really enjoyed the original animation, and partly because the song itself is undeniably awesome. I didn't end up showing them a choral version after all, but the Apocalypse Kow rendition was also enjoyed. The kids were all very impressed when I told them I KNOW the singers in the video, and they made a few cracks about how short The Ninja (second from the left) appears to be. Then I told them that The Ninja is actually only a tiny bit shorter than me (and because they're 8 years old, that makes him VERY tall indeed!) but because he was standing between Dr. Teeth and The Dreamy Barber, who are both VERY tall men, he only LOOKS short.
