Miscalculation
So, I've been working on emptying the back bedroom into the living room so we can hopefully do the flooring. It has come to my attention that this is not a project that can be feasibly done and the house returned to some semblance of order before WE are meant to host Harry Potter Club, NEXT SATURDAY.
So, the plan changed. I was going to continue pulling things out of the back bedroom until I unearthed the heat register, and now the plan is to put as much stuff as possible BACK into the back bedroom, while still maintaining a usable path to said heat register. Of course, hopefully they'll be able to come and clean the ducts within the next week, and then it won't even matter about maintaining a path, and we can just hide everything in there again until after HP Club.
The current plan is that we will host the Family Gathering at Easter this year. We are already in the process of negotiating with the storage company that moved a pod full of stuff out of the basement bedroom to keep that stuff in storage for us until after Easter, and THEN we can resume the work on the other parts of the house.

I did manage to make the path I wanted to the heat register, and we even pulled out all the nice dishes we were given as wedding gifts and started running them through the dishwasher. On the agenda for tomorrow is deciding which of the old dishes we're going to cull to make room for the new ones. Yay pretty dishes!
