Phil Plait operates the Bad Astronomy website. I've never met him (although I hope to next year), but I'm told that he's a really great guy, and I believe that there's no-one better suited to taking the reins of the JREF.

So there's this thread on the JREF Forums called the Three Word Story. It's where people post three words at a time, and try to make some kind of sense. It doesn't always work, but among us, we do come out with some absolute gems ( Read more... )

Well, you probably have to be an active member of the JREF Forums to get the full context for this. As a summary, let me say that the Forums run a monthly Language Award. One of the nominations for October's award went to a post about Gay Zombie Love, and although it didn't win, it was such an intriguing subject that it spawned a thread of its own. ( Read more... )
